  • A short film documenting my hike from Canillas de Aceituno to the top of La Maroma - the highest mountain in Sierra de Tejeda and in the entire province of Málaga (2069m / 6788ft).
I took a bus from El Morche to Torre del Mar, then a special bus (Carlos) from the Torre del Mar bus station to Canillas de Aceituno. To get back home, I had to take a taxi from Canillas de Aceituno to Torre del Mar.
I've been wanting to climb #LaMaroma for six years, but I didn't think it was possible without a car, so I never got around to it until now. This little adventure gave me some much needed vitality and inspiration.
    Filmed in mid-March, 2023.

Another great video, I’m so relaxed watching these. Those mountain goats were so cool. How long did the hike take you?

Thank you! 5.5 hours from Canillas de Aceituno. Three hours up and 2.5 hours down. I didn't take any breaks, because I was unsure of how long it would take and I had to get back before dark. If I had a car, I would've been able to start walking earlier and I could've taken my time.
