  • I'm testing out the new Milwaukee PACKOUT Cabinet that was scheduled to launch 2 months ago, but just recently hit the shelves in my local Home Depot. In this video, I put it to the test showing you the dimensions, water resistance, and compatibility with all the other PACKOUT solutions. I even point out some additional features that no one is talking about.

    Would you use this Packout Cabinet for taking to the job site or use in your garage?

      I put it on the short seat (stowed) side of the back seat of my truck, facing toward the passenger side door, to keep my PPE in...with a two drawer cabinet on top to hold other tools and site survey items.

    For the most part I quit using the top lid boxes . This is a great box I use it for the large circular saw. I hope they make a single large drawer for the rolling cart base.

    I gotta say, as much as I love Milwaukee and packout, I just don't see myself using this a whole lot, I have the XL and all I put in it is a spare garden hose. The 2 drawer will be my next purchase for sure. Great video!

    I’d definitely get a couple of that for the garage, I have lots of aerosol cans and hand tools that could be stored in them and I could hang one outside and store garden tools and water hose nozzles etc.

      exactly what i was going to say...its more made to hang on the wall in the garage or if it could be mounted to the side wall in a contractor van...dont see much use on a packout rolling box set up

      @@kingofthecrease30 In restoration, it keeps dust out of the cabinet. This can come in handy to store personal items, cleaning products, or any tools you'd need to bring up like a circular saw which is rarely needed for demolition side of mold restoration.

    For me, the cabinet is more practical for the garage. My Ryobi 18 gauge Brad nailer and my 16 gauge finisher nailer fit nicely on the 2 drawer pack-out which is nice. The pack-out cabinet needs to be one big drawer the open-up style feels impractical like items might spill out once you open it up but seems nice for storage for aerosol cans, handheld lights, portable radios, and tire inflator.

    Nice, i gonna buy 8 of these and stack them on a 1 inch plywood in my new Ford Transit using StealthMounts Packout Mounting Cleats from amazon. I gonna put all my Refrigeration Tools and parts in it. These are the best cabinets from Milwaukee.

    Will be buying the cabinet based on your review, however, how do you like the Milwaukee Dolly system, is it worth $229?

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  Год назад +1

      Thanks DCC, I like the 4 wheel $99 utility cart dolly for around my shop. It's very handy. The 2 wheel dolly is decent, but isn't as nice as I expected it to be. I'm glad I have it and use it frequently, but the bottom flap seems a little light for using as an appliance dolly. The wheels are a little close together, making it a challenge to roll sideways on a slight incline. It needs a wider wheelbase for my needs. Other than that, I like it and glad I own it. Maybe they'll launch a Gen 2 version.

  • @lancomedic

    I think this is good for mounting on the wall but I don't like it for loading on a cart. Anything you put in there is going to move around and I also don't like reaching in for things. We need a rolling box with drawers and the wheels mounted outside, not recessed like the existing rolling box where they take up space in the box.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
