      Here is where you are wrong. The people who owned the warehouse went the easy and fast way. They recruited illiterate, poor, untrained and cheap-pay workers like him to do the heavy lifting/manual labor. The guy is obviously illiterate and I am quite certain he was never trained. More importantly, when you own a warehouse that contains flammable materials, there are certain safety standards to adhere to. Either the provincial authorities do not regulate safety standards or the owner did not bother. Simply covering the flammable foam via tarpaulin or some cloth, or separating the rolls of foam would have prevented the fire from covering the warehouse.
      Regarding people being killed, this is not arson. This is gross negligence and that too, the negligence is not the worker's alone. The owners are equally at fault for not training him and for not implementing safety and preventive measures in their warehouse. Don't blame the worker fully.

    No matter how the fire was lit, just one random spark could have yielded the same result here as it seems. It doesn't actually matter that it was the curiosity of a worker - if your product is this flammable and you do not have any precatuions against desaster, it's on you. Here, the warehouse company is clearly largely responsible for this.

Which btw, these things release flammable gas, that's why they caught so fast. Now, what happens when you lay a tarp over a bunch of foam that releases dust and flammable gas? An explosion, not a fire. This was either a lack of training, lack of warnings around the building, or just a curious worker who made a huge mistake that will literally ruin his life forever.

      That sounds like total bs. Which kind of material just regularly exudes flammable gas, and is then also stored like _that?_ Also, I don't care whether the CCP thinks I shouldn't say that about their terrible lack of hazard management - if they are the ones to blame here, which might very well be true. It's a known fact that new foams are highly flamable. Their safety guideline probably has "no fire in the warehouse" in it. The world doesn't need this action. This man is just ignorant and dumb.

      he might have well been testing his own safety conditions, as being in an environment with that much butane, knowing its denser than regular air, cant be safe.

      Someone commented earlier that this stuff is so noxious that it has to sit in a warehouse with major area ventilation for months after it's been rolled just to get some of the chemical fumes off of it.
      The way this went up it must have still been essentially a big soup of chemicals and fumes.

    Amazing, he could've grabbed a piece of it to test flammability, but instead used a whole roll. What kind of person does something like this? The only way he could've done that is by assuming, that the roll is either not flammable at all, or that it burns extremely slowly and can be put out with hands alone. Why was he confident either of these would be the case?

    • @Commander_ZiN
      @Commander_ZiN Год назад +74

      look closer, he had a piece he was testing but he used the rolls to hide his actions and was too close to them.
      I'm not sure why they'd make something so flammable.
