Hej, fedt projekt. Er det noget du vil udlevere nogen tegninger på? Har bygget noget lignende, men er vild med dine ideer med to basser og dit batterisystem.
if you find out that the cabinet amplifies certain frequenties (standing waves) you might need to add a few small pillars intoo the smaller space (mid and high) to make the vertical inner wall between the bass side and other speakerchambers and front wall of the speakerbox connect together and prevent it from vibrating , could add a small filler piece or high density piece of felt to the back of the mid speaker magenet , the piece that mounts the bas speaker should be ok as its not that big of a surface , the rear might allso need a little strenthening though the horizonal piece that mounts the bas speaker divides it in half pretty nicely so should be firm enough to not flex
What tweeter and bass model is that? I want to build your speaker. I was looking for a large speaker with hifi sound. Maye please tell us the dimensions of the enclosure?
I Like. Be careful with crossover to bullet tweeter from 12" mid. The bullet likes 5KHz and above, the 12" will struggle to get to that cleanly. 12" and a horn driver that reaches lower will give better performance. Or 8" and bullet. My kind of speaker though :-)
@@Karlemilstorm yes but 12"s are usually peaking around 2k.. I also build and develop high power portable speakers and really 8" or 10" will give you nicer midrange.. in the best case no need to cut from above..
The design is excellent. Too bad we can’t audition speaker design results on RUclips. All we’re listening to has been through a mic and is coming out of whatever we’re listening to. Might be interesting if two of these could run as stereo modules from a BT signal. Then the two could interlock and be carried on a custom dolly with some rad wheels. However, what makes this “DIY”? No website (where plans or product lists might be posted) is linked in the channel description. No schematics or links are posted in the description. Maybe change the graphic in the keyframe to read “DIM PROJECT” as in Do It Myself? Unless some kind of schematics are shared, there’s no point in promoting this as a “DIY” project.
@@Karlemilstorm cheers! They have very high specs! I was hoping for a midrange tweeter combo that does 200hz to 20khz, ans that can handle 100watt rms. So far nothing. Also Max 3.5 inches in size.
@@phillohmann6838 You'll need a midrange driver to get down to 200Hz. Even LARGE compression drivers and horns can't reach that low, 1KHz if you are lucky. Bullet tweeters also need quite a high crossover. 5KHz or more. 100W isn't much for a midrange, so likely any 6 1/2 or 8 inch driver will get you there. Can i recommend motorola Piezo tweeters as they only need a simple crossover and are light in weight. There are clones, so beware.
600 W seems a bit over the top. It's more like a third. However, it's a great build and should provide more than enough power to the speakers. Cerwin Vega is a good choice for a woofer that can take some abuse.
Fed video mate, og lækker højtaler, rammer du Roskilde i år? Og du burde ligge noget net eller rundt skum ind i rørene så der ikke falder en masse skidt ned til bassen som bliver svært at få ud😉

Realy nice build any chance you will share the plan for the cabinet? I know all speakers units are different, but it will be a good starting point. Øh....and why did you take put the bas ports for the test? Nice design of the battery slot btw. :)
Hello, I won't be sharing any plans for this design as it won't fit anyones builds. Use calculators to make the perfect enclosure for your drivers. The bass ports were removed/shortened in order to give the best bass response outdoors.
Especially because this cabinet utilizes a bandpass design - this will only fit very few drivers. If the cabinet size/port length is slightly off, then you will get a completely different bass response
What is the battery life like for this build? I’m trying to build a 240 watt portable speaker but and finding it difficult to supply the power for more than an hour on a battery
