Amazing season so far, but I have 2 criticisms. The Map isn’t used enough. They only use it early game and not mid to late game when (arguably) it’s more important since the players are now all over the place rather than concentrated in the beginning area. As for my other criticism is the over reliance on the Great Katana due to how easy it is to get and how good it is. I think this can be mitigated by adding other tasks that encourage the contestants to get other weapons very early in the game. Selling the Great Katana is an amazing one since it lets other people use the Back Hand Blades, but there needs to be more like that. My idea of implementing a task that encourages contestants to use weapons other than the Great Katana is this: “Place the Wing Stance AOW on the Milady”. This is a good early-game task that gives you an amazing weapon, opens up the map, helps progress a lot of other tasks, and you could complete before fighting any boss. This would also have more players explore a bit of Castle Ensis, which I feel is a very underutilises area. Another would be to “Kill a boss with a Somber Weapon”. There is a plethora of Somber Weapons that’re relatively easy to get early on and that are good and entertaining to see. Yeah, there’ll be a lot of people that’ll just get the Dragon Hunter’s Great Katana, but at least there’ll be more variety due to the unique AOW on the weapon.
Spoilers: Really well played by both sides here! If parky had gone for bird instead of Queelign (or had not died and made it to Sennesax sooner) this could have gone the distance
Every match domo talks about how corner squares are more valuable than every other square besides center. But doesn’t every diagonal square have equal value to the corners? Like I’m not crazy they’re the same right
Very late reply, but I read your post before watching the video, and I've thought the same thing in the past. But in this video Domo actually calls the other diagonal squares "inside corner squares" (at about 1:35) , so I think he's just describing it weirdly.
I don’t think it was stated in the match or after that in the interview, but going for perfume before the Death Rite Bird was an incredibly smart move. DRB shows that he has killed ADM and has access to Senessax, however, you don’t need to kill ADM to get the perfume. So, killing the DRB would immediately told Parke that Aggy was much closer to a bingo than he actually was.
I dunno, my girlfriend always HATED if I threw to benefit her. Even if I didn’t make it obvious at all. I’d be in more trouble for letting her win than actually winning
why would she be mad at him for winning? what you’re saying has nothing to do with being chivalrous, you’re just implying she can’t win unless he throws
Every season has meta weapons. Players want to win, so they go for the best option. Makes sense, but agree that it's bad to watch. That's why previous seasons introduced the weapon rando, but even then, people would just go for checks where the meta OP weapons can spawn, so the game was still dictated by the meta weapons.
@@CloudBlitzer and we'll see the same thing the last time weapons were randomized again, at least if the randomizer works in a similar manner (randomized by weapon category). It will probably take a full weapon randomizer to get some variety in, but IMHO all it would mean is every match you check for Great Katana pickup and BHB pickup, and use the best weapon out of those 2. And we're still gonna get comments like this complaining about a metagame becoming more prominent in a competitive environment
@@portalmanHUN Bro. I would very much like you to show me this tunnel of which you speak. Because I’ve been all over there and I’ve never seen a tunnel. could you show me it please? 😏🤷🏻♂️🏴
@@abyssalcrisis I didn’t know that. But now that you’ve pointed it out. I understand why. Dragons hate poison so if you’re gonna use a sword, put poison on it…😏🤷🏻♂️🏴
@@steviesbadtv TLDR: People dont use it because its really bad. Sennesax has 734/1024/1481 Poison resistance. Since Dragon Hunter Katana cant be infused or buffed, your best option for status application would be Backhand blade, which at +25 does 95 per hit. So you are looking at 8/11/16 hits to apply a status effect that will do 3.499,71 Damage (2.869,71 from % + 630 flat) over the course of 90 seconds, unaffected by Scadu since its % of enemy health. On the other hand you have the Dragon Hunter Great Katana which causes bleed (15% + 100 = 6.932 damage per proc), gets a 45% damage boost against this boss because its a dragon AND an ancient enemy, and has an AOW that gets a 40% damage buff against this boss, easily throwing out >3000 damage with a ranged attack for only 18fp, as you saw in this match, all without waiting for a timer to run down. By using poison on this fight you are essentially throwing away base damage just to build up a status effect that - over the course of one and a half entire minutes - does as much damage as three hits on the legs with the Dragon Hunter Katana in this run. And remember, our numbers here were from a run with nearly no scadu level, if there was a Scadu level 10 square on the board, the fight would be over before a single poison effect would get its full value. *edit to avoid confusion for american readers: in europe we use period to seperate digits and commas to denote decimal, you guys do it the other way around, so just swap out the symbols if the numbers seem whack.

It's actually been so cool to see how much Parky has improved since the last season she raced in.
Headbutt an enemy with torrent sounds like a good square
Aggy: what a scam!
Domo: Yes, very nice
Parky kicked ass. Without the bingo, I think the match would have been so very close
Yeah kinda seemed like she had the lead in tempo until the bingo was a factor.
ADM is shorter than Ancient Dragon Man, but have you considered just calling him Trogdor? The OG dragon man
edit: oh shit! doc gets me
Insane for him to know Trogdor and then never having heard about Ween’s smash hit Ocean Man

I appreciate you
I would be shocked if aggy beat parky. No heat for parky, aggy is just levels ahead of her.
How does the spoiler block comment gets to the top of the section?
I have the RUclips Revanced apk on my phone so I just deactivated the comment preview 😁

Of all the fights in the dlc that people hate. I think Senessax is the absolute worst.

Great Katana is getting a little boring not gonna lie. I wish someone did something else every now and then.
Season 5 would be hopefully randomized as was season 2.
100%, but again, its either GKatana or Backhand blades - best options bring least surprising patterns.
My guy it's basically a speedrun asking someone to not use the optimal setup is basically asking them to throw
