As a Garchomp main, I can safely say this is the strongest garchomp has ever been, and i think it’s pretty fricking good now, but just with ground build, if dragon build got the crits back it’d be godly again
great video, I just have one tip for the dragon build: if you input dragon claw before the animation for dragon rush comes out, you can combo the two moves together
After using dragon rush I constantly press dragon claw immediately and watch garchomp dance mid air its pretty satisfying to use him. Time dragon claw before dragon rush end and you can get the additional hit
Honestly I've kinda given up on playing Garchomp. Love how Garchomp plays, but they have just been patching it for so long that I've given up. But Greedent on the other hand, I had a game last night with an MVP score of 91 with 100,000 damage delt. Pretty pleased with that.
Just played a few garchomp games today, won all. It's a pretty fun Pokemon but then they keep buffing and nerfing it. I understand why you've given up :(

For the battle item I used Goal-Getter because Greedent goes fast, and for the moves I used Stuff Cheeks and Bullet Seed. Pretty good setup, but you could probably fit the score shield in there somewhere to make Greedent even better for running across the map to score.
Ground build is good, but the dragon build is way better. A lot of people think the ground build is better but I’ve played both and I’ve seen the stats, dragon is better. If you use the right items you can destroy. I once did 450,000 damage and got 22 kills with the build. The items you want to use are muscle bard, focus band, and scope lens. With all of those along with the x attack battle item, there’s no telling how much damage you can do
8:05 C, because if they don't rotate for the objective, you still can get the objective. If someone steals the jungle, then you can't get the jungle and if someone is afk, they will also not rotate for the objectives or do anything else

Garchomp is one of the best pokémon in the game, the problem is that people don't play it the right way, I recommend you equip it with muscle band, focus band, weakness policy, and also take it with ground movements, with this build I got to Master doing 80k - 100k damage, I recommend taking it to the top lane, and on items you can use smoke or the X attack, if this build doesn't convince you you can try muscle band, focus band and buddy barrier, but always take it with moves ground type, it is more useful than dragon movements, I hope it helps you, greetings, you are incredible.
600+ games on Garchomp and he’s in his current strongest state (except it’s still not up to par with the meta yet). You also might wanna try Garchomp’s Dragon combo (using rush and then claw before you dash) too when you have time, it helps a lot imo.

I just figured out that the best way to play garchomp is hyper aggresive. Since you almost cant run away with it you just have to fight. Garchomp at first sight looks really easy to play but it really isnt, you need to position really well
To be honest if you are a melee attacker you can't 1v1 Garchomp But you are a special attacker you can destroy Garchomp, I'm not a Garchomp main but I played 73 matches and have win rate of 63%
Hmm garchomp is good for me cause I used in my rank matches in season2 for masters when it was evolving at level 10. 1 thing I will say an awesome pokemon but all ranged and very good players can outplay it. I think that is needed to buff is its range
Garchomp is finally usable with the new updates, but it is far from one of the best. Honestly they need to rework Dig. It either needs more range for sure or make it work like Fly where we can control him underground.
I used to be a garchomp main but had to give up playing him in higher ranked play but after the buff he rly is so much fun to play I'm currently on a 8 game win streak with him (ultra 4)
I think garchomp should be more like he is in pokken a semi tank rushdown so I say make dragon and dig have more range and have his base move speed much higher as well as a health increase

The defense buffs on Dig are really great for him. Gible still struggles, but can still 1v1 early thanks to Slow Smoke. Gabite can actually be a threat on the field with Dig. Garchomp is probably the strongest lvl15 Mon there is and with Slow Smoke he can shred. BUT there's still the counter play of simply walking away from him unfortunately. I wish the Dragon set was a little stronger. The defense buff from Dig is so good that it makes it kinda useless to play with Dragon. If they brought crits back then you could choose between a tank Chomp or a crit shred Chomp
I graded Pokemon in soloq based on 5 parameters, this Is my garchomp Analysis: 1 lane phase - 1 star ( out of a max of 3) 2 engage-disengage - 2stars 3 1vs1 - 3 stars 4 farming - 3 stars 5 Battle royal management - 2 stars The total Is 11 stars, that put garchomp in the middle of tier A, if given jungle than the lane parameter get maxed, putting It at 13 stars, that Is S- tier. What put garchomp in a bad spot are bad plays, that mon Is extremely strong, it's Just difficult to manage It. It has the strongest level 9 of the game and that Is undeniable

Garchomp has my most damage done in a game at 139K but also one of my lowest win rate too at 58%. Either I’m killing everyone or just not getting close enough
I'm gonna be honest, these buffs didn't really do too much It said it was a "rework" but the moves just had the boosted version bonuses moved to base moves... Dig is super nice though. Knock up is ridiculous But most people underestimate him. There's times where I just roller coaster cause I get a kill early or be aggressive. He felt the same for me since he got his level 9, but I feel like he feels a bit better defensively early game. Really got hurt from the dragon crit nerf but it is what it is, he's fun to play still :)

Recently, I had 3 matches in soloQ. First and Second, there was a player on the enemy team that did not do a single objective, Picked top lane, and neither rotate to Dred nor secured Rotom, his only objective was to keep pushing goals on top lane. Even on ZAPDOS the player was farming on our (his enemy side) jungle to keep scoring. Of course, they lost. On the Third match, said player was now on my team and of course did exactly the same and now we lost. After such a great performance, I clicked on the player profile and it had 44% winrate! for 3K matches! And yet, was paired on a Ranked Masterx1400 match.
Meanwhile the scariest thing in Unite is Stuffed Cheeks Greedent... Crustle mains using Shell Smash eat your heart out. Sure, Covet has CC but like... Bad control makes you lose time and is a slow start-up and slow heal.
As somebody who plays garchomp a lot I can say that the ground build is pretty okay right now, however I guess Garchomp biggest problem is gibbles lack of mobility. I guess Gibbles is the only physical attacker in the entire game who has not a gap closing tool for some reason. And I guess garchomp mains can handle this easily, I just suck with sand attack.
Is it bad if i don't make a 30k+ damage on every rank games that I played? I always run on score shield, buddy barrier, muscle band/glasses and have a 60% plus winrate. I'm avoiding fights if i have to unless it's on dred, rotom or zap and prioritizes the last rotom instead of dred. X speed and potions are my go to equips. And honestly, these two items are more reliable throughout the game than the popular ones like slowsmoke and eject button. Fluffy tail seems useless since you have muscle band to aid you on objs. It is my own opinion and I am having a success on it. I reached 1500+ s2 and currently 1300+ masters.
I run score shield, buddy barrier and muscle band for attack types pokemon and glasses in replacement for muscle band for sp attack pokemons. What I'm pointing is that i don't do that much damge and kills but I'm still getting dubs on my rank games. Also, i never used any of the battle items except for potions (high mobile poks) and x speed (low mobile). Maybe on quick games and standard ones i try to use different held and battle items just to have fun. But seriously, i don't get why some players get upset if they dont get a high damge after the game. I never got a high damge of 100k and even a pentakill but still i can get w's on ranked. I even run muscle band on pikachu lol.

I dont know why they insist its one core weakness is Speed when in the main games it notoriously has a min-max Speed tier that puts it 2-3 points ahead of most pokemon. Its suppost to outspeed things
All of the pokemon in unite have the same base speed, only moves and abilities gives the pokemon movement speed. So giving Garchomp extra speed increase is weird.

It's ironic that Garchomp's pokedex entry said he's the fastest but lo and behold, he's slow in Pokémon Unite.
it also says he can fly
even tho he doesnt learn any flying moves and cant learn fly.
It also has a very Special Speed stat that allows it to be 2-3 points faster than most competetive pokemon.

You can also extend your range of attack slightly if you use dragon claw right after dragon rush. Has helped me chase some people before

My garchomp was like 33% before but right after learning the dragon rush dragon claw combo it raised from 33% to 50%
Garchomp was always good until they got rid of dragon crits but then tney gave so many buffs also the dragon set is still better and always will be

As somebody who plays garchomp a lot I can say that the ground build is pretty okay right now, however I guess Garchomp biggest problem is gibbles lack of mobility. I guess Gibbles is the only physical attacker in the entire game who has not a gap closing tool for some reason. And I guess garchomp mains can handle this easily, I just suck with sand attack.

Is it bad if i don't make a 30k+ damage on every rank games that I played? I always run on score shield, buddy barrier, muscle band/glasses and have a 60% plus winrate. I'm avoiding fights if i have to unless it's on dred, rotom or zap and prioritizes the last rotom instead of dred. X speed and potions are my go to equips. And honestly, these two items are more reliable throughout the game than the popular ones like slowsmoke and eject button. Fluffy tail seems useless since you have muscle band to aid you on objs. It is my own opinion and I am having a success on it.

Did you just run a score shield and GLASSES on garchomp? i can still see potion but X speed?
I run score shield, buddy barrier and muscle band for attack types pokemon and glasses in replacement for muscle band for sp attack pokemons. What I'm pointing is that i don't do that much damge and kills but I'm still getting dubs on my rank games. Also, i never used any of the battle items except for potions (high mobile poks) and x speed (low mobile). Maybe on quick games and standard ones i try to use different held and battle items just to have fun.
But seriously, i don't get why some players get upset if they dont get a high damge after the game. I never got a high damge of 100k and even a pentakill but still i can get w's on ranked. I even run muscle band on pikachu lol.

I dont know why they insist its one core weakness is Speed when in the main games it notoriously has a min-max Speed tier that puts it 2-3 points ahead of most pokemon. Its suppost to outspeed things

only thing I feel chomp needs is a speed increase. maybe 25% something to make it just a tad more fearful. I love playing as chomp.
All of the pokemon in unite have the same base speed, only moves and abilities gives the pokemon movement speed. So giving Garchomp extra speed increase is weird.
