- Blender NPR shaders breakdown Episode 1 - Stipple Shading
A short overview of how to achieve stipple/grain shading in Blender.
I hope you like this new format I'm trying, I'm going to try and upload these as often as I can. If you have any shaders you'd like to see a breakdown of let me know :)

subscribed. I love getting help with stylized 3d looks!
Looking forward to more of this series. This is the perfect balance between informative/length/speed
Totally underrated tutorial! This is so amazing and helps me to transform my scene into a screenprinted wallpaper style which looks beyond amazing! Thank you so much for this video ❤
MAN YOU'RE AMAZING PLS DO MORE 😭♥️
This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you!
You're great man, love your channel
WOW THIS IS JUST WHAT I NEEDED THANK YOU CHA!!!!!!
Thank you so much buddy... Awesome grainy results....
Thank you for sharing! :D Will tinker with it :)
this is great! thank you!
This is art
my problem solved after watching this video .thank you so much
thanks so much man like really man, you helps me a lot, keep going man, loves your videos.
finally a shader that works!
Kermit made my day. Another banger.
wowzers!
I liked the "Put it on... Wait, What?"
damn , never thought this is even possible +1 sub
thank youuu
Keep going, is good material/shadder hahaha
thanks
yo dis nice
Love this effect! Any tips of making the shader work with coloured lighting? I'm guessing the colour ramp is preventing this but can't quite figure it out 🤔
sorry for the late reply, you can have coloured lighting effect the shader by separating the result of the shader rgb and just using a colour ramp to clamp the value channel. here is a screenshot with it set up: imgur.com/a/w12F2PD hope this helps :)
@@cha8802 thank you for this! Do you have any idea if it`s also possible to have the area where the colored lights mix be stippled ?
Is there a way to get the same effect in cycles?
I've never used Blender but I'm sooo interested in achieving this effect in a 3D model. Is it possible to use this shader with glass, metal or a textured material like wood? Or does the color ramp force it to be plain color? Thank you!!
can you make a tutorial on strip textured shading?
can this be implemented for Cycles?
Hey, how do you keyframe the voronoi texture?
ez pz ty
hello there, fanstastic and clear tutorial. But as i know, it's impossible to stop the texture moving and glittering when rendering with camera moves. If somebody knows how to fix a texture on a object with noise/grain effect, you're welcome. Because when you want to use this effect in a complex environment ( like buidings ) with camera or cinematic moves, the results are horrible because of the glittering. Solution anyone ?
you could try using the camera or window coordinates instead of the object coordinates for the voronoi texture. or maybe if you make a scale a bit smaller so you can make out the individual stipples will make it jitter less
Do you know why I can see grain in Viewport but not in render?😢😢i don't know why...
first
Is this possible in Cycles renderer?
No shader to rgb only work on eevee
#frame/2000
normally these tutorials are too slow but holy shit man this is wayyyyy too fast
