Just WOW! That got my heart rate going. I can’t imagine that anyone who hasn’t ridden whoops can begin to understand how much of a toll that takes on your body over time like that. Nor can they fully appreciate what it takes to hold onto the bike at speed like in the last section of the video. Crazy fast!
this is insane. this guy is a beast. incredible. how fast he goes! damn
Great video and nice ride, nothing better than getting to ride along and see how the best get it done.
Ricky, Great section. Sorry for Max. You guys were on your way. Thanks for taking the time out in the middle of nowhere to chat. 408x
Awesome share thanks for the tutorial on how to get it done gutsy riding hands down...
he doesn't need a suspension, he just flies over the terrain :D
That fork (left or right) was sketchy when you passed that parked car. Reminds me there is a difference between those willing to commit everything (RB's, Andy Grider,'s, Johnny Campbell's, Jimmy Lewis') to the unknown, versus those old trail dogs like Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman in their 'Long way ___' adventure documentaries. Exciting to watch you Ricky, but I literally find myself holding my breathe... post script: Please make some noise at Honda so we can get our hands on a CRF 450L Dakar Rally (think CRF250L Rally, but bigger, more fuel capacity)..?
very nice footage, thanks for sharing.
Looks exactly like Hesperia and Apple valley! Get it!
You make that whoops looks easy but i have been there before because i live here and they are not, Really nice ride
You could tell once Ricky caught Colton's dust he started to pour it on!
it's like what "Bad" Brad Henson used to do in 1979 aboard an IT250F, only starting a lot farther behind. We'd bring 8 foot pipe benders to the exchange point, knowing he's gonna bring the bike in "bent." Sure enough, he'd already crashed 3 times while passing all the class 21 entries physically, and all but 2 class 22 riders, normally in time he'd be ahead of 1 of those too. Cars and trucks had no chance. At the pit to trade, he'd be all smiles, bleeding and full of dirt, we'd straighten the bars so the bike could turn, I'd get on it, and never see another rider the rest of course. We smoked the Factory teams, the first 3 out of 5 was a sweep, we were out of reach. What we did was ensured Factory Husqvarna, Honda, KTM etc...that they were wasting their money. We had neighborhood friends, that'd never been to Mexico, pitting us.
My exact sentiments proving guts over dollars friends neighbors helping sounds like the good old days grassroots....
