What's the point of divorce if husband still need to maintain his ex wife . Isn't divorce meant to be free from responsibility of their spouse . This sense of entitlement needs to be stopped.
In that case marry a working woman who can maintain herself, who files income tax on her personal income every year. Or pays property tax on her own name. In this case u need not pay any alimony.

Maximum time pe female are dependent on husband for all her necessaties so I think until she didn't remarried or it's her idea for divorce she can claim alimony . If she remarried, if she is working had a job then also she can't claim alimony . Then what shall SC's decision then..I think this law should be implemented for that woman who is divorced by her husband not by her. Other wise this law would be missused.

Sc has made alimony fundamental right so tribals will have to follow. + Tribals are not a religious group so their personal laws should be defined in Hindu personal laws.
