As I get older (76), I find I want everything in my life more simplified and that includes my quilting projects. I've been a quilter for over 20 years and I'm happiest when I can just sit down at my machine and sew scraps, strings, 4-patches, etc. without thinking too much. I love your channel because it's inspiring as well as relaxing. I watched a gal this morning who was new to me and she was so particular and fussy with her simple block that I turned her off. Been there and done that for a long time and found I was not enjoying quilting because I was trying to be perfect. Thanks for showing us that we don't have to be perfect :)

Very pretty! All 3 quilts. I’ve been cutting scraps I have quite a few 2 1/2 inch squares but I still need more of a variety. This gave me inspiration! I’ve been thrifting vintage bed sheets and am always on the lookout for vintage fabric. I had a friend who’s mother passed away a few years ago she sewed it was so lucky I ran into her she asked me if I want 3 boxes of fabric if I didn’t take it she was going to put them in the burn pile oh my goodness I said yes! It was like Christmas morning going through those boxes of beautiful fabric.

Thank you Beth. I am not good at scrappy combinations. I feel lost and confused about combining colors. But you just showed us red/green/light or white four patches, bright color four patches with red and green borders, bright colors with yellow and blue triangles, pastel colors with white sashes and pink or other soft color cornerstones used to emphasize the cornerstone color. It may seem simple and obvious to some people, but this was very helpful to me! ♥️

dear Beth, I always thought the mathematics was more complex, when you put blocks on point, for example an 8 1/2 square, so the triangles would also be cut from an 8 1/2 square? I just love your style, it is so comfortable and soothing, just like your quilts. Thank you so much for your gifts to us! have a good day.

Thank you for calm QUIET music. Sewing is a calm thing. It doesn't need trumpets and kettle drums and canons. Thank you also for beautiful quilts that don't have a zillion pieces per block.... and permission to not be thread for thread precise. Its a quilt! Not a fake 100 dollar bill. A bit of trim to square them up is also comforting. These are meant to have good dreams under. )))))

Hi Beth! I love all of them! I've been cutting scraps into different sizes-1 being 2 1/2" squares. Originally, I thought about a checkerboard layout, but after seeing your random colored 4-patches with the yellow gingham & blue triangles-I may just have to do one like that 💗💗 A friend gave me lots of chambray years ago & turns out it's wider than normal fabric. I think it's 60" wide, but I don't remember. I could use that for my blue & find something else for the alternate color! Thanks as always for all you do for us 😍😍
