Love your videos and demos. Would it be possible to have a video with examples for more advanced devs? Interesting would be to see how MS advanced devs use copilot in their daily routine in a more "live" situation and less "demo/presentation" format. Thank you.
Thank you, Copilot team, for doing an excellent job overall. Personally, I would like to see the Custom Instructions improved. It would also be great to have a chat participant like @prompt who would improve more complicated prompts or make regular ones better.
I just got in the Copilot workspace beta and context info is SO much better with it. However, it's started generating a lot of irrelevant code instead of just the answer or specific code snippet I need. How can I have "standing instructions" added to the prompt?
I appreciate your product, but I believe there could be opportunities for improvement. From my experience, competitors like Cursor and Windsurf have an advantage by having AI capabilities as built-in features rather than extensions. Have you considered implementing AI directly into your core product? Additionally, using more advanced models like Claude 3.5 Sonnet, which excels at coding tasks, could enhance your product's capabilities. I'm sharing this feedback because I see great potential in your tool and would love to see it become even better.
How to resolve GitHub co-pilot issue in VS code 1.95.1 and GitHub co-pilot extension v1.243.0. got the error like -" Language Model unavailable". Anybody please help me on this issue. Thank in advance
The experimental reference to files is great but fails to adapt to updated features or versions in frameworks. E.g Rails 7 or 8. You cannot keep adding new references to the .md file especially has PRs get approved frequently. Similar issues with PHP.
A little feedback. The subject suggests something about beyond basic usage. But it does not get there until 10 minutes into the video. Maybe break this video up into a getting started and this topic of going beyond.
so much focus on the chat... I would say most developers need efficient suggestions and suggestions for the next edit which moves the cursor like super maven does... Chat will just generate sub par code which is not always what you want in an already developed big project
What a time to be alive! A Microsoft software engineer explains Copilot on a Mac, naming Google as the search engine and not even mentioning Bing.
Very underrated comment.
Skipping mcd's and subbed to copilot! best $10 sub ever!!
I agree with the learning part, it's definitely accelerated my learning as a university student 😅

Most informative. Thanks!

Will it attack my security issues and help me get my phone back? 7:23 😢
help to understand search something like specifc keywork , some message etc in big logs file
Which app did you use to make this video. It's very interactive ❤
Screenflick to record, Davinci to edit. Envato Element for stock footage.
Screenfick is only on Mac. OBS studio can do that for Windows. It's free.

When should we use each of the models available right now: 4o, o1-mini and o1-preview?

Is it paid?
It's typical Microsoft, but the voice/read-out features are entirely unnecessary.
Microsoft should buy Cursor 😂
Yay I am first! I am too broke for copilot 😭
There is a trial to test it out.
@@code I know but I am only starting to dev so I definitly won't use its full potential.
Nah i write a HTML+CsS for representation with chat gpt ,better than PowerPoint lol
Have you tried slidedev?
Cursor is even better than Copilot 😢
There’s things in my phone and Roku . I need help, I am 66 and terminal 2:08
The demonstrations themselves are all of its annoying in copilot.
Template spec.md's would be great
How can I get a Visual Studio T-Shirt like you @ReynaldAdolphe ?
