That's what narcissists do - whenever putting someone else down, they can ONLY describe themselves. You could hand them a script and tell them to read it out loud about whomever, and they will still say what they want to say, which will only describe themselves, in the end. I am scared about the reaction from his supporters though. They seem to tout it as a very clever joke (even though it does not even make sense) and seem to think that Trump is the best president ever because he can make a joke (which, again is wrong and just an insult). I'm not American, nor journalist, nor woman, but I'm ashamed. It's depressing to see a professional being treated like that in front of the world and there's no one to call him out.
I do not get how everyone assumes sexism from Trump in that remark. It was unforgivable and unacceptable; impossibly rude. But there's no evidence that he said it because she was a woman. And given his hostility towards the media, it seems far more likely he said it because she was a reporter. He is certainly sexist, but here... would it have been better if he'd said it to a male journalist? If anything it was debatably feminist/equalist to not treat her gingerly.
It is possible he had her sex on the brain while he said it. But I see no reason to assume it without some kind of evidence. I just want him to be torn down for his actions in such a way he has no defense. So I don't want to waste my time on calling him sexist here, as he can defend against that. Instead I'll call him a childish, churlish, undignified bully and coward.

From what I saw of the press conference he did not want to take Kavanaugh questions, but that reporter pushed to open the gate, and so he took other Kavanuagh questions. Also, when he said the other reporter doesn't usually think, I believe that was a crack about the media not thinking. When someone is rude to everyone and then is rude to women, that doesn't mean he is being sexist, it means he is being rude. Trumo is an ass, and he is likely a sexist ass, but I didn't think he was being sexist so much as he was just being an asshole to the media.

As a 28 yr old Democrat from South Carolina I feel the need to say Lindsey Graham is sadly the best you can hope for from my state. Well, you're not entirely wrong as some schools in that region do retell that history as a fight involving proud countrymen fighting for their rights (ironic, when you consider the slavery angle) but be careful, please. I know it's easy to generalize, but you must realize not everyone from the south is like this. Speaking from a personal standpoint, I have both friends and in-law family members who were born and raised there, strong accents, hunters, the whole stereotype package and yes, they are shocked by this man's actions. See, this is the problem. People think that god will fix everything. If every one of us had VOTED, we wouldn't have this numbskull in the white house. Way too many people don't take their responsibility seriously; our parents would be ashamed if they knew how many of their children wouldn't even bother to vote. Saying that neither of the candidates is worth voting for? Well, that's pretty much been the case in a whole lot of elections, so we've voted for the least awful option. Because Trump was the worst possible option of all the candidates for president, and I include every whacko that managed to get his name on the ballot of even the smallest states, and everyone who got even ONE write it vote. So next time, remember, god helps those who help themselves. Get out there and vote, get your friends to vote, get your coworkers to vote. And educate yourselves about the candidates, because I assure you that pretty much no one that voted for trump bothered to learn anything about him other than what he told them. I live near New York, so I knew he was con man for a very long time.
