Kamehameha Sorc goes brrr on bosses. Nice build. I'm leveling with Glacier right now and was planning to experiment with (cold) Frostclaw + Static Orb. This looks like another good option.
Yep, i almost thinking about a variant similar to this with frost claw + static but this one is more polish damn. Time to farm all the bis item and slap. Edit : Finaly i try a bit the build and i come to this conclusion. i prefer to use glacier instead of frost claw because it regen mana pretty much almost at 100 % while clearing the map very well and spam more easily static orb for elite. And instead of Arcane ascendance i use flame ward witch gives 10 spell damage, 50% lighting damage, damage reduction and more flexibity for moving and have good defence. And damn the build clap very hard, One shooting all day night x) Sorry i'm french. Hope it understandable.

Something worth mentioning (apologies if you did as i did not watch 100% of the video) but you want -3 mana cost wrongwarp, -4 or more puts frost claw just under the 40 mana goal.
@@FrozenSentinel I'm confused. Even with a -3 wrongwarp I'm sitting at 39.4 mana cost given the setup in the video. I'd have to go to a -4 or -3 and change the nodes out of gift of winter to make it work. How is this working in the video?
What are the benefits of converting frost claw to lightning? Why not fire, you save 2 skill points and can skip the Gift of Winter node which allows you to use -5 cost Wrongwarp. Also have you consider Fingers of the Phantom Mire? It adds 20% move speed, which means that's 60 more spell damage from Wrongwarp. A 3LP has a 3.21% to drop, which is not that bad for COF.
Fire is fine, it doesn't make much difference either way. I was running it last night on stream and the damage felt the same. Fingers doesn't look bad for the oneshot setup tbh, has a more multi. Has we lose 200 flat armor and potentially 1-3 affix spots depending on seal, and armor applies to DoT mitigation vs eternal gauntlets for the echo setup and evade is very important when you have a long cooldown traversal with mana tunnel.
@@kerepus you gain more by not taking it. Also glacier is better. With spark charges. Try to get the arena boots from Aion. 1% damage per 1% move speed. Killer combo if you also include the gloves. My static orb tool top is at 2.7million and missing still missing very important slams. COF sometimes is annoying.
First of all thanks, feels better than clearing with Meteor Procs. I have a few questions/points: 1) For me, tooltip damage of Static Orb goes down when equipping Grimoire (and chugging a potion) over Stormcarved. And that's without the amulet, which would make added damage even less valuable. Also probably not accounting for the lightning pen as well.. 2) Do Spark Charges inherit the 6% base crit from the Frost Claw tree? If so, they should be nigh capped with Peak of the Mountain, which I'm using. I only swap Enigma for a 6% exalted offhand. 3) how about the new Swiftness unique gloves? Using a 3 lp version for free 20% movespeed and a few bonus stats.
i think you want the marina lost soul wand or whatever its called for the grimore setup. Im playing with the glacier setup and while its nicer to play transient rest (glacier generate mana), i miss frostclaw's ward generation. Frost claw setup requires a bit too much mana management for me, can we do anything about it? @@FrozenSentinel
Thanks for the video! Wondering about the significance of the 5 points into the recollection (cooldown recovery) nodes? Not sure what that helps with other than maybe some slightly faster teleports? but the bonus from the julras has a 12 second cd and wrongwarp lasts 10 seconds so don't need faster teleport? Wondering if points might be spent better elsewhere

In your sheet guide for mana calc, you say I cant allocate points on "Gift of Winter" if my wand has -5 spell cost. But if I dont allocate points in it, how do I convert it to Lightning Damage?
Good day, thx for the video, I saw the commentary about conversion of frost claw, i guess gift of winter is good and lightning conversion is good if you have -3 wrongwarp so you can prestack shock and passive for cast speed, but in case of -4 and above is there even a point in converting? we dont want it to be cold? what need in converting to fire? all the increases are spell, elemental -ignites?

Hey Amazing build, I just change over to it yesterday to give it a go. Works really well, one question when you do the item swap how do you prevent one point being taken from Manacharged on Static Orb? It always takes the extra point you get from the off hand from that node. Do you just not spec the extra point?
Peak only caps crit if you have base crit elsewhere. If you only have 5% base crit you need 1900% increased crit chance total or something. If you have 1 phantom grip it would probably work, if you have +6% from crystal skull you dont need peak
@@FrozenSentinel I have Marina's lost soul that has -5 mana which puts me at 37.4 mana cost. I have no other -5 or mana efficiency etc, is the only way to get a weapon that does not have -5 mana cost to fix this?
loving this build but i just cannot seem to get the Wrongwarp to drop with the minus mana cost of 3 had multiple 2LP ones drop but cant use them as they put the mana cost of frost claw under 40 Thankfully i got a 2lp Ladle I can run in the mean time

What's your opinion on the swiftness rings? idk i feel the extra movespeed is better than evad. using a glacier build though trying to get it faster since I have a warp wand. surprised the guide on maxroll suggests the crit multiplier over the cast/move ability :)
don't really like giving up evade when we only have wrongwarp for traversal but you can if you want for a speedy setup, definitely wouldn't be better for boss oneshotting though
hey, i know this is kind of old, but im hoping you will still see this and help me out. so i played your straight frost claw build up until i had the items to switch to this build. im a little light on mana, but its close enough. im still one shotting what i wanna one shot. the problem is how bad frost claw feels for me now in maps. i am not smart enough to know why. obviously we switched from lightning to cold, but not much else changed in the frost claw tree. the passives changed quite a bit. we dropped the ward per cast nodes, and obviously arent using meteor anymore for mana. is there anything else im missing? how do you not feel like shit in maps with this?

@@FrozenSentinel I still have like 124int, 41.8 cost, 350 or so crit multi, and my chance is kinda low at 55, but that's exactly what it was before the switch, same with the int. The difference is the 8 points in spell blade I think. Those points were massive ward gain and retention. Why do we switch to cold claw btw? And is there a way to keep the 8 spell blade points without cucking ourselves
@@HeIIaAverage the 5 point in Spellblade is only like 130 threshold, it's almost nothing. Check the pinned FAQ RE: why no lightning Yes you can take more INT instead of some other stuff and it will boost your FC damage, but I don't think it's worth giving up movement speed if running wrongwarp for maximizing your clear. I can't really help you based on the limited info provided, you can see the build working in 1000 corruption in my vods with the planner that sounds similar to yours. I'd suggest posting your planner in my discord linked in the description and asking for help with more details
Great timing for a build update to drop as I had taken my sweet time to get started and I had barely put together the initial set up for the previous one! One question btw, is the minion damage on the silver ring in the planner intended or..?
@@FrozenSentinel Thanks for the reply, yeah I heard it from the video that the stats are not final but I wanted to ask because given that I don't think there are minions in the build (correctme if I'm wrong), I assumed it'd be better to put something like lighting dmg or even leave it blank rather than having a stat that could spark endless questions from confused players for you in there if you know what I mean.

This is sick. Swapped from glacier sorc to this - one shot 565 corr last ruin boss and got ravenous void gloves which never had before :) Also just wondering - would swapping to Scales of Ettera for bossing would do anything useful with lightning infusion.
@@DucLu-t7c well the idea is to use exactly lightning infusion to help with one shotting the bosses. And even if you do not one shot - anyway you need to wait for focus to refill your mana which by the time it's is done - infusion cooldown will be over as well or close to.

@@ySoCerealx im not Sure but i guess its "spell DMG" so it gets added to any spells and boosted further with any increased %spelldmg, but Not boosted by any lightning %dmg. Im kinda new to the Game, but this makes sense for me Edit: If i am correct, then you should prioritize spelldmg over any elemental or specific elemental %dmg.
sorc is stronger. chaos bolt warlock is kinda like worse sorc. I think it is because warlock isn't designed raw damage setup. it is probably designed around DoT and Aliments but those aren't nearly as good as raw damage.
I've reviewed it 10 times.... I still don't understand how to make explosions at the end of the frost claw cast!!!!!!???? and how is the ball lightning cast when casting the frost claw???
In my opinion devs simply forgot that frost claw can be pumped up above 40 mana and never intended this interaction. Applying 20+ spark charges per cast is ridiculous compared to any other skills. So I wouldn't be surprised if frost claw's mana cost got slightly reduced to be under 40 mana with all the mana increase nodes.

I know your disclaimer mentions needing > 1500 ish mana and some extra flat damage before trying but, are any of the uniques must have items as well such? I'm struggling a bit in corruption 300 at the moment but likely because I don't have any uniques slammed with INT or Mana.
You will probably need uniques with LP to reach enough mana to oneshot bosses, ideally tooltip >500k for static orb and > 1500 mana to consider using it otherwise it will feel bad. Focus on making the ladle setup work for now as that will be better until you start to have some legendaries
@@FrozenSentinel Sounds good. I think that's a solid plan as well. Any suggestions on what to prioritize now that I'm trying to push 300 for farming? I'm using ladle, boneclamor, unstable, enigma, 2x phantom grip, blood of exile, strands belt, and exaulted pieces for ammy, gloves, and relic. I still feel decently strong clearing mobs in echos but can get nuked if im not careful and struggle a bit with bosses now. 1K HP, 645 mana, 1600 armor, 94 int. None of my uniques currently have the recommended slams in them as well. DPS on FC shows 2553.

Actually tryint to survive 300 corruption orobyss with this fit. Getting out of mana in seconds and one-shotted pretty fast while Orobyss remains at 80% health... definitly failure if you d'opnt have the perfect stuff... all this fit is about stuff.

Great video and thinking again, but as I see in the comments, there a few of us who play HC and this cycle especially, the name if the game is kill faster then monsters, some of them are extremely dangereous-just see HC ladder how many are dead. Would you provide us with a setup for HC? When I hear word glass canon I panic:)
Glass cannon only for bossing setup, echo setup will include frailty, a bit more armor instead of mana, crit reduc cap, and 8/8 in the RM DR node. if you arent confident you can oneshot the boss, dont run the glass cannon swap. If you do run glass cannon boss swap you should TP out of the fight immediately if the initial burst doesnt kill.

The focus is clear, frost claw and teleport as well. But how and when to use the static orb and Ascendence - I have never used that skill I tried it and it roots you down, maybe I just dont get - is anywhere an explanation or are going to extend your document for this setup? BTW the document is awesome help
ill update the doc soon, I suggest watching the boss kills on 0.25x speed and seeing the order of skills. IIRC you can use traversal while in ascendance, this is last before burst with static
Theres always a risk when you go full dps for bossing but I think finishing the fights immediately is safer than fighting it out and potentially ripping to a mistake or lag during the fight. the build overall is solid for HC as we get a pretty good amount of EHP

Is it applying to lightning skills due to a bug? Is it intended for the game to let any skill benefit from any type of flat damage? If so, why have different types at all?
OK sorry, I didn't understand how the game works. I thought added damage was only effective on the type of skill being used. Static Orb does 40 base lightning damage, and confluence alone would make it do 40 lightning, ~30 fire, ~30 necrotic, and ~30 void at 200% added dmg effectiveness. The only real difference between them is if you have a specific type of increased damage or penetration type, it would only apply to that particular type and not the others.
Idk what to tell ya, got way more people saying the opposite. FC + Spark Charge does way more AoE damage with much better coverage, more range, more splash / overlapping / shotting, etc.

Also have you consider Fingers of the Phantom Mire? It adds 20% move speed, which means that's 60 more spell damage from Wrongwarp.
A 3LP has a 3.21% to drop, which is not that bad for COF.
Fire is fine, it doesn't make much difference either way. I was running it last night on stream and the damage felt the same.
Fingers doesn't look bad for the oneshot setup tbh, has a more multi. Has we lose 200 flat armor and potentially 1-3 affix spots depending on seal, and armor applies to DoT mitigation vs eternal gauntlets for the echo setup and evade is very important when you have a long cooldown traversal with mana tunnel.
I need to take out Gift of Winter otherwise I couldn't get FC to be above 40 mana :(
@@kerepus you gain more by not taking it. Also glacier is better. With spark charges. Try to get the arena boots from Aion. 1% damage per 1% move speed. Killer combo if you also include the gloves. My static orb tool top is at 2.7million and missing still missing very important slams. COF sometimes is annoying.

First of all thanks, feels better than clearing with Meteor Procs. I have a few questions/points:
1) For me, tooltip damage of Static Orb goes down when equipping Grimoire (and chugging a potion) over Stormcarved. And that's without the amulet, which would make added damage even less valuable. Also probably not accounting for the lightning pen as well..
2) Do Spark Charges inherit the 6% base crit from the Frost Claw tree? If so, they should be nigh capped with Peak of the Mountain, which I'm using. I only swap Enigma for a 6% exalted offhand.
3) how about the new Swiftness unique gloves? Using a 3 lp version for free 20% movespeed and a few bonus stats.
I think light pen is included in tooltip, but yea relic might not be worth it over storm. I'd just go for the neck then

Im playing with the glacier setup and while its nicer to play transient rest (glacier generate mana), i miss frostclaw's ward generation. Not sure what that helps with other than maybe some slightly faster teleports? but the bonus from the julras has a 12 second cd and wrongwarp lasts 10 seconds so don't need faster teleport? Wondering if points might be spent better elsewhere
teleport is quality of life, mana tunnel tp is how we consistently regen mana with archmage refund + static orb

Reaching crit cap for frost claw is not important, you care only about spark charge and static orb

You don't convert to lightning
No need to covert as long as you have the frost claw above 40 mana you apply spark charge (which is the main damage dealer)

Works really well, one question when you do the item swap how do you prevent one point being taken from Manacharged on Static Orb? It always takes the extra point you get from the off hand from that node. Do you just not spec the extra point?
I don't spec the extra point yea, there is a pre-determined logic for how points are removed and it's not helpful here unfortunately

Peak only caps crit if you have base crit elsewhere. If you only have 5% base crit you need 1900% increased crit chance total or something. If you have 1 phantom grip it would probably work, if you have +6% from crystal skull you dont need peak

Nothing is "mandatory" but you will need over 1000 mana and over 100 int
What's your opinion on the swiftness rings? idk i feel the extra movespeed is better than evad. using a glacier build though trying to get it faster since I have a warp wand. surprised the guide on maxroll suggests the crit multiplier over the cast/move ability :)
don't really like giving up evade when we only have wrongwarp for traversal but you can if you want for a speedy setup, definitely wouldn't be better for boss oneshotting though

hey, i know this is kind of old, but im hoping you will still see this and help me out. so i played your straight frost claw build up until i had the items to switch to this build. im a little light on mana, but its close enough. im still one shotting what i wanna one shot. the problem is how bad frost claw feels for me now in maps. i am not smart enough to know why. obviously we switched from lightning to cold, but not much else changed in the frost claw tree. the passives changed quite a bit. we dropped the ward per cast nodes, and obviously arent using meteor anymore for mana. is there anything else im missing? how do you not feel like shit in maps with this?

@@FrozenSentinel I still have like 124int, 41.8 cost, 350 or so crit multi, and my chance is kinda low at 55, but that's exactly what it was before the switch, same with the int. The difference is the 8 points in spell blade I think. Those points were massive ward gain and retention. Why do we switch to cold claw btw? And is there a way to keep the 8 spell blade points without cucking ourselves

Yes you can take more INT instead of some other stuff and it will boost your FC damage, but I don't think it's worth giving up movement speed if running wrongwarp for maximizing your clear.
I can't really help you based on the limited info provided, you can see the build working in 1000 corruption in my vods with the planner that sounds similar to yours. I'd suggest posting your planner in my discord linked in the description and asking for help with more details

Sorc just gets a lot of ward, ward retention, mana spent gained as was, ward per second per max mana, etc
This is sick. Swapped from glacier sorc to this - one shot 565 corr last ruin boss and got ravenous void gloves which never had before :) Also just wondering - would swapping to Scales of Ettera for bossing would do anything useful with lightning infusion.

scale of ettera is doable but do not use lightniing infusion one you do 80% less damage after stack is over. Use the Cold & Fire one instead.
@@DucLu-t7c well the idea is to use exactly lightning infusion to help with one shotting the bosses. And even if you do not one shot - anyway you need to wait for focus to refill your mana which by the time it's is done - infusion cooldown will be over as well or close to.

It doesn't matter if the type is the same, it still adds the damage

Edit: If i am correct, then you should prioritize spelldmg over any elemental or specific elemental %dmg.

Yea you will want some legendaries to start using this setup if you want to kill bosses in one rotation, otherwise its a bit awkward

sorc is stronger. chaos bolt warlock is kinda like worse sorc. I think it is because warlock isn't designed raw damage setup. it is probably designed around DoT and Aliments but those aren't nearly as good as raw damage.

I am not aware of any bug, EHG has stated they wont do nerfs mid cycle so unless a bug is found this is likely safe until 1.2
In my opinion devs simply forgot that frost claw can be pumped up above 40 mana and never intended this interaction. Applying 20+ spark charges per cast is ridiculous compared to any other skills. So I wouldn't be surprised if frost claw's mana cost got slightly reduced to be under 40 mana with all the mana increase nodes.
I've just found one bug though. You get the 100% spark charge bonus at 3 points instead of 4 but it's not big of a deal

This build will not work well with budget, just run the standard Frost Claw Spark setup until you have some of the gear seen here

I know your disclaimer mentions needing > 1500 ish mana and some extra flat damage before trying but, are any of the uniques must have items as well such? I'm struggling a bit in corruption 300 at the moment but likely because I don't have any uniques slammed with INT or Mana.
You will probably need uniques with LP to reach enough mana to oneshot bosses, ideally tooltip >500k for static orb and > 1500 mana to consider using it otherwise it will feel bad. Focus on making the ladle setup work for now as that will be better until you start to have some legendaries

I'm using ladle, boneclamor, unstable, enigma, 2x phantom grip, blood of exile, strands belt, and exaulted pieces for ammy, gloves, and relic. I still feel decently strong clearing mobs in echos but can get nuked if im not careful and struggle a bit with bosses now. 1K HP, 645 mana, 1600 armor, 94 int. None of my uniques currently have the recommended slams in them as well. DPS on FC shows 2553.

Actually tryint to survive 300 corruption orobyss with this fit. Getting out of mana in seconds and one-shotted pretty fast while Orobyss remains at 80% health... definitly failure if you d'opnt have the perfect stuff... all this fit is about stuff.
You can oneshot 300C shade with very far from perfect gear. Perfect gear is oneshotting 1500C+ shade.

Great video and thinking again, but as I see in the comments, there a few of us who play HC and this cycle especially, the name if the game is kill faster then monsters, some of them are extremely dangereous-just see HC ladder how many are dead. Would you provide us with a setup for HC? When I hear word glass canon I panic:)
Glass cannon only for bossing setup, echo setup will include frailty, a bit more armor instead of mana, crit reduc cap, and 8/8 in the RM DR node.
if you arent confident you can oneshot the boss, dont run the glass cannon swap. If you do run glass cannon boss swap you should TP out of the fight immediately if the initial burst doesnt kill.

The focus is clear, frost claw and teleport as well. But how and when to use the static orb and Ascendence - I have never used that skill I tried it and it roots you down, maybe I just dont get - is anywhere an explanation or are going to extend your document for this setup? ill update the doc soon, I suggest watching the boss kills on 0.25x speed and seeing the order of skills. IIRC you can use traversal while in ascendance, this is last before burst with static

Theres always a risk when you go full dps for bossing but I think finishing the fights immediately is safer than fighting it out and potentially ripping to a mistake or lag during the fight.
the build overall is solid for HC as we get a pretty good amount of EHP
I don't get how the confluence helps us at all. Flat fire, necrotic, and void damage sound like they don't apply when using lightning skills.

OK sorry, I didn't understand how the game works. I thought added damage was only effective on the type of skill being used. Static Orb does 40 base lightning damage, and confluence alone would make it do 40 lightning, ~30 fire, ~30 necrotic, and ~30 void at 200% added dmg effectiveness.
The only real difference between them is if you have a specific type of increased damage or penetration type, it would only apply to that particular type and not the others.
Not sure why frostclaw is used over glacier. It does less damage and costs more. I tested it and its far worse, especially with harbinger belt.
Idk what to tell ya, got way more people saying the opposite. FC + Spark Charge does way more AoE damage with much better coverage, more range, more splash / overlapping / shotting, etc.
