Thank you for clarifying, I personally use the pin pointer on the beach to tell me size of target, saves alot of wasted time as it’s tonal and I have dug lots and lots of tests to clarify findings 😎😎
I like hearing the depth. At 6 or 7 get fading. Much harder to tell. 3,4 and 5 work well for me, depending on headphone use and ambient noise. Nice vid J
It all depends on your soil and how much instability you can tolerate. I usually will not go above 3 audio response because I want a deep target to whisper. If the audio response is set at 4 or above...most targets at 5" deep will be loud and sound like they are at 2". I must know the depth of targets by the amplitude of the tone.
I have 1.0 as well. One would assume xp did thorough testing before release. I heard 1.1 is closer to .71 to satisfy complaints of some users. If one or the other is better for you, that is the one you should use... And thanks SF.

Does lower max frequencies supposedly mask targets better? Is it better to hunt in thick iron in a lower max frequency? Thx
Higher frequency max works better for unmasking but will false on iron more. 24khz works well at unmasking too. 14khz not so much
I had another successful day using the higher sensitivity and lower audio response. Infact I saved the program and named it the freak
