This is pretty much the way I've played it since the 70's. I hit the open low e let it hum for a half then em then em7 to a but my tempo is a touch slower but that's just me. This was damn near the perfect jam tune back in the mid 70's if you're pickin up what I'm layin down. Thanks for the track brother now if I can find that mushroom..lol
Hi ... great jam track and I appreciate all the hard work. I wanted to say that I think this track is actually in Bm, not Em. E dorian is the second mode of D, and the relative minor is Bm. Em Pentatonic still works because we aren't playing the C or the F#, which would be outside the key. Not trying to be that guy, but for those who are trying to get these concepts in our heads (like me) I thought it needed a comment.
I hate to burst your bubble Jack, but it can’t possibly be in B minor if there is not even 1 Bm chord. You are mixing up modal harmony with traditional harmony. The relative Ionian is D and the relative Aeolian is B, but the key of this track is E minor. If you were writing in musical notation you might use the key signature of D major, but the track is in E minor, Dorian mode.
@@nowyoushred Late reply, but the four chord of Eminor is A minor, not A major, so how is this in Em again?. This track is in Bm. Both Em and A are chords in the key of Bm, even though this track only uses the iv and the VII of Bm and not the i. That is what gives this song it's tension, it never really resolves. Burst that, babe. You should really double check this kind of thing if you are going to act like an expert, then be smarmy when someone tries to help.

It's more comfortable to make live-scale like this, thnx^ much better for understanding
You’re welcome Niko! I think especially with little two chord jams like this one it’s easier to see the changing notes in the chords!
👍🏻👌🏻
👌
sounds like Breathe by Pink Floyd
Listen to Neil Youngs Down By The River, you will not regret it.
Yep, it’s the same chords!
I was just about to make this same comment! was waiting for it to slow down, and, then, for some slide guitar to come in....

Jack, you are being pedantic. You should stop doing that. @@jackmathers738
If its EDorian then the A chord would be the V not the IV chord
Lol uh nope
Way too bass heavy.
Neil's all about jangly guitars.
Everyone’s a critic lol
Aren't you meant to be the one with the guitar?
