Perhaps he was frustrated because he thought he should have gotten probation or no jail time for self-defense & cooperating with the Prosecutor. I hear in content & read often here in You Tube comments that New York does not have self-defense legislation & that is untrue. New York has the Castle Doctrine & it is strict but a form of self-defense. Every State in the U.S. has a legislative definition for self-defense. The Southern states tend to be more in tune with Stand Your Ground legislation which has a bigger space for Self-defense situations than the Castle Doctrine (which tends to reflect Northern States' effort to have strict gun ownership rights). Finally, if you are in a Set & run into someone from an opposing Set & take them out, that is not exactly Self-defense because the legal theory is that you should have gone to the cops before the tension rose to warring in the Streets.
