  • I visit Cafe In The Crypt. Below St Martin In The Fields Church Trafalgar Square London. Great spot for coffee in the very heart of London. One of the best places for coffee and affordable food and drink near Covent Garden and Trafalgar Square.

When I lived in London in 2004-2006 I used to regularly meet friends in the Crypt for dinner/coffee. Such wonderful memories. Thanks for giving me a glimpse into one of my fave London spots. :)

I have been to this magical café. London is really a city of enchantment. However, the "life" I led there was a kind of nightmare where it was not permitted to name and blame the perpetrators. I am in retirement thousands of miles away but this city will always be with me and, I think, with all people who have lived there for more than a few years. :)

I stayed in London for two months when I was in my early 20s. This cafe was my favorite daily hang out and where a lot of my fellow art and theater students went to have (excellent!) Coffee. They also have the best bread pudding I've ever found anywhere

Visited the crypt while on R&R from Iraq in Jan 2004. Ended up spending all day there after deciding to create a brass rubbing. I chose Sir Robert De Bures 1302- 1331. It happened to be the largest and it took me 8 hours to complete it. I enjoyed a nice lunch break while working on the rubbing. The rubbing rolled up nicely and the young lady attendant assured me that high temperatures would not affect it. Six months later I was back in the U.S. and the rubbing was matted and framed beautifully. It now hangs from floor to ceiling and I never tire of it.

Excellent spot for a tasty lunch at a fair price. I'm an American and I love to go here to eat when in the city.

Really cool place to grab a snack. The Church does so much good for the homeless too. Great video!

You must be running out of places to vlog! You did the Crypt a couple of years ago and then again a year later! Bring back the 25 days of Christmas Vlog, that was entertaining!

I really like this place, love the soup with roll & apple crumble for £8.75 very reasonable and even fish and chips (not tried) for under £12 thats v gd in London for an eat in price. Drinks less reasonable but they allow you to bring your own in, very fair. Relaxed atmosphere, hard to believe you are a few feet away from the bustling crowds, and great access as you mention.

I go to St Martins in the Field for meals, the fabulous gifts shop (you see things there that are not in other gift shops) and the lunch time concerts. Its a go to place every time for me and my friends.

That's so cool! I wish the tombstones were protected with plexiglass or something, it looks like the foot traffic has taken a bit of a toll on them. Will look into going there next time I'm in London. Love your videos by the way, don't think I've ever commented. Cheers!

I wen there when I was in London, and I hated every moment of it. I didn't even want to go to the bathroom, because I didn't want to stand on
    the head stones.
