Very cool. I love the sound when you chop the throttle. Great job. I put a 6.5 GM turbo diesel in my 21 foot fishing boat. It came with a 47 horse Perkins inboard engine that overheated at 12mph top speed. The Chevy diesel drives a Mercruiser Bravo One outdrive now. Here's its test run ruclips.net/video/cDyQ_VeZKx0/видео.html
Also 6.2 and 6.5 are essentially the same engines 6.5 just has a larger bore, you can easily install a 6.5 turbo on a 6.2... its best to install a cradle and head studs and make sure it has a good dampener on it when doing that.
The entire video was the reaction of your buddy while drinking beer. Would've been nice to have actually "seen" the engine, rather than the exhaust dump.
Its mostly Detroit's that idle like that over here. But if it gets cold enough the 12 valve cummins will idle like that. Its mostly the mechanical diesels
That’s gotta be one of the better sounding 6.2s I’ve heard in video.
They sound great look up pickup Gm 6.2L
Quantos HP? ?
@@marlborodemoura1377 around 130-200, 130 no turbo, 155 military model no turbo with free flowing exhaust and intake, 200hp approx with a turbo.
I want my 6.2 suburban to sound like this 😍
Quantos HP?
That sound will make any grown man cry😫
CRY? What are you, a fucking tree hugger?
@@koitorob 😁 he prob ment cry cuz it sounds good and any grown man who cries about trees is gay

@@marlborodemoura1377 circa 250.
Nice sounding 6.5!
sounds like that motor needs a bigger prop to handle all that torque you can tell as it takes off
SO 20 mph is considered fast now ?
I thought the gm 6.2s were natural aspirated I didn’t think t he y turbos them until the 6.5s is the turbo an aftermarket deal
Banks made a turbo kit for them if I remember right
Banks offered a turbo which could be dealer installed in the late 80’s

You sure that thing don't have the GM 6.2L GAS engine? That has to be the smoothest and quietest 6.2L diesel ever.
All of my 6.2's (all three ) run so smooth people do not know they are diesel.
Mine too, my 6.5s are loud though definately sound like a diesel
My 6.2 runs extremely smooth
Needs a bigger prop
I have a 23 scorpion chris craft cuddy that has the 350, how do I go about converting a regular diesel engine into the boat ?
Oh shit i just had an idea what if someone put a 453t in a boat?
Many many many boats came with 453s
Or an aluminum 353T....
what is the maximum speed we can reach?

what price?
hi nice boots motor dude can I gets one ?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😘
Hi no more boot
Quantos HP? ?
Quantos hp
Duramax 3500, now available in a boat
It's not a duramax. The marine industry does love them though
Not an isuzu duramax, it's a Detroit GM6.2l
Blue smoke turbo leaking
These don't have turbos
Oliver that one obviously did.
The smoke went away after it warmed up. Might be a glow plug issue.
Oliver you can hear the turbo spool at 2:04 as well as a spshhhhh sound after he gets off the throttle, this engine has a turbo
No turbo? Lol
I can hear it
Thats what a piece of shit does !!! Ha ha !!! Should of got a duramax !!!
Grow up Rick. Why don't you show us "your" Dmax boat?
Viel Rauch um NICHTS. Was hat der 170 PS kommt ja nicht in Gange!
Wow 6.2’s sure idle like shit from cold. Like most American diesels I guess 🤷♂️

@@oldcroneysgarage9739 They only idle like that when adjusted out of spec... some people like to hear the diesel lope but they don't do it by design.
