  • Gerry Duggan presents an overview of the Irish Academy of Engineering’s submission to the National Transport Authority on the development of a transport strategy for the Greater Dublin Area; in the period 2015-2040.
The proposals in the submission were designed to deliver access to affordable housing and acceptable travel times, for a rapidly expanding population. Also included in the proposal is a fully integrated light and heavy rail network which could be implemented at no higher cost than existing proposals.
