With all due respect to Late SAB, may his soul continue to Rest In Peace. By all what Gbaja said about Barrister claimed he served him wholeheartedly I expected the interviewer should ask him why he left SAB and becoming stage manager to Wasiu. The interview Gbaja granted showed that he was nursing a grudge against Mayegun. Wasiu Ayinde have vision and he’s vision today brought him this far. Ire o whatever transpired between Muyi Gbaja and Mayegun only God know, we all know you while you’re with Mayegun.
None of us can dispute what Gbaja said, apart from K1, because he mentioned a lot of people as witnesses. He also the good aspects of K1, so to me it's a balanced interview, we all have our good bad, and ugly sides in our lives.
Best interview on this channel 👍, in fact I was just thinking about Alh Muyi last week that I don’t see him with K1 again until I stumbled on this interview!

For sure, there's no doubt about that, majority of K1 fans don't really love him as a person, but his music. As he was able to fine time Fuji and take it to another level. But on humanitarian level or personal life, he scored 0. Because he's too arrogant and self centered.

This is the problem with us Yoruba people we always forget all the good someone did for us but only remember one fault. He never said why he left Barrister’s band to the so called evil K1 band. And forgot that this K1 led you to where you are today if for not anything else be grateful for that and leave him K1 to God to judge him accordingly. Yoruba will never desist from backstabbing. Learn from Percy, Gaji and Lanre ijakoko. And your story doesn’t add up. Why asked him money for ticket, you are getting paid so you have no savings. And if the speaker is your cousin why slaving in America and also why slaving at the back of all the so called evil K1. You are all alagbe including K1, atenu ni gbogbo yin. Ungrateful bastards, you all only know current benefactors not past ones. This is just all jealousy of young ones, they are all building houses doing good you ate with all fingers. Please people listen carefully to this back and forth story that doesn’t add up.To add to my comment: 1998/99 K1 went on tour with all his band members he gave them all the options either to stay in the US, Canada or UK everyone choose where they wanted to stay then the likes of Akeem Yaya, Walikoko, Semiu, Oluperi to mention few. He K1 stayed in London then to regularise his papers, when he returned to Nigeria he formed new ultimate band. You decided to go back to Nigeria then and continue working with K1 bcos you like the faaji with no insight into saving or building a house or building your future so please don’t bring curse on yourself by not been ungrateful . It’s your own doing that you didn’t make it. All the people working for K1 are successful in their own right. I am not saying K1 is perfect.

Go and listen to K1 4 Barrister when Wasiu was singing in front of Barrister and told a story of when Barrister opened a new house on May 6, 1974 in Bariga. He said he was young but was there. @@toheebola719 Thanks for your comments. It looks like there was an issue between Gbajaa and K1 before he left the team. He said so many things about visa and help. Those are internal issues that could have been resolved before he travelled. Things happen in every team. He sounds so bitter about it and trying hard to ridicule K1. Saying someone brought K1 to Barrister in 1977 and left in 1978 is not true. If K1 could tell story of what happened in 1974 to Barrister during K1 for Barrister’s 60th birthday, it shows that K1 knows what’s he’s saying and bold about it. If your best friend is no longer cool with you, watch out, he will join your enemy to ridicule you; lesson. There was even a video I watched on RUclips and Barrister himself confirmed that there was a music genre called Fuji played in Lagos island in the 50s by Jolly lawa, Saka Layigbade and others before he created his own music called Fuji as well, so that the former Old Fuji won’t fade out. Please, check out the video on RUclips. K1 knows what’s he’s saying but he should have kept quiet to show respect to his former Boss. But all these olote should go and sit down jare.
