Many a flashback flared up while watching this. I grew up, Camped and fished mostly all over there. Carnbroe was a few houses and Eurocentre didn't exist tho. Too bad it didn't stay that way. Excellent mate. Thanks for the memories
Absolutely brilliant James, thanks for taking the time to show us what an amazing asset we have on our doorstep and how we must protect it at all costs from greedy developers :-(
thanks so much for posting this , my Fathers family have lived in Calderbank for over 100 years and still lots of them there now , love seeing the place .
This is an absolutely fabulous work of art .. this child of a Calderbank native who now lives in NYC thanks you immensely for this .. it tells the story which is what is needed to be effective! I didn't know there were Swans!
Great video! Now in Canada, I lived in Calderbank till 1973. Many happy childhood memories of exploring the Bluebell Wood, the Big Garden and the Lilly Pond. Hope it all survives!
Sharing again ...I want the world to take notice .We are into Phase Two soon and hope everyone has signed the petition and shared it...Only a short time left to do that. Thanks to James for his great work and I am hoping we can meet up and get more lovely videos done for the next part of the campaign.
James .Thank you for the message . Yes all help in terms of videos showing our lovely area would be great. It was magical down at the Lily pond and arboretum last time I was there .Also in the walled garden looking quite an original place ... Don, my husband went to the bit behind the new houses at Carnbroe, that looked across the Calder. He had waders and went over the rather flooded plashy stream and there were deer in the field just behind the woods .I bet you get lovely images. A big thanks. It all helps..Kathleen
Wonderful James ....A story of a lovely place which will be devastated if developers get their way. I hope many people from all over the UK and beyond see this and want to find out more about how they can help by sharing...by writing to North Lanark Council and the Scottish Government and in other ways... Thank you for your great work and super photography skills...k
Vey gd vid... Shows the sheer expansion of land that they want to thieve from us... It would b a crime to change all this beauty... I hope it stays exactly as is for all of us 2 use & enjoy & that's including the wildlife... Only yesterday I seen 5 deer up the Lily...ive gt a bad feeling about it though, as money talks.
Stunning Video. Absolutely Amazing. No way can this area be allowed to be developed. This vast woodland are the lungs of Calderbank. Take a walk and see. Stop any development.
