If you want to win in sports betting, then you have to know how to manage and grow your sports betting bankroll. The Kelly Criterion in sports betting is one of the most important formulas that all sports bettors need to know, as it is the main way that sharp bettors manage their money. We see Mariners -1.5 run line is +245 odds on Fanduel, and this is a direct arbitrage betting opportunity to Pinnacle, the sharpest sportsbook in the world.
According to the Kelly calculator, we should have bet roughly 4% of our bankroll on this. If your bankroll is $10,000, then you should wager $400 on this run line at +245 odds to maximize returns and minimize the "risk of ruin." If your bankroll is $1,000, then you should only wager $40 on this specific MLB betting opportunity.
Arbitrage betting and earning risk-free returns by placing equal and opposite bets on two sportsbooks is a great strategy for building a sports betting bankroll.

Obviously you could set and bet the EV bets all day and use the KC method until your whole Bank roll is invested in EV bets. Do you have a cut off number of bets or a certain percent of your bank roll that you don't go over?

One specific bet shouldn't be more than 5% of bankroll, other than that it just matters if the bets are good! If you want to hop on a call, please fill out the form here: forms.gle/CnVxfpGJ7hLetY3H6 and schedule a meeting here: calendly.com/matthew-666/15

How often should you update your bank roll on the kelly calculator?

In what situation would you ever change the multiplier on the Kelly calculator to more than 1?

I believe that the scale is between 1-0. 1 is the standard and 0 is the most conservative. So if you set your multiplier to 0.5 because you tend to be a more conservative bettor that means you should multiply the suggested bet amount by 0.5.

You wouldn't, actually. If you want to hop on a call, please fill out the form here: forms.gle/CnVxfpGJ7hLetY3H6 and schedule a meeting here: calendly.com/matthew-666/15

Thanks for your content, you never disappoint. I’d like clarity on somethings if you don’t mind. As a positive EV bettor, how many trades am I expected to take daily, also, using fractional kelly criterion, can I place multiple bets at almost same time? If yes, will I recalculate my position sizing (using kelly criterion) after each bet to place another bet immediately without waiting for the outcome of the first bet.
Example: Assuming I’m betting with $1,000, I used $50 for the first bet which hasn’t been settled. I have a balance of $950, will I recalculate my position sizing with $950 without waiting for the bet on $50 to settle. I really need clarity on this and how profitable it might be. Thanks a lot. I really hope you reply

$950 would be your risk free balance

The Kelly calculator would be just your total bankroll, it wouldnt change after bets are placed. If you want to hop on a call, please fill out the form here: forms.gle/CnVxfpGJ7hLetY3H6 and schedule a meeting here: calendly.com/matthew-666/15

When you say place a bet 5% of your bankroll. Is that you total bankroll or the amount you currently have on a sports book?
So if I start with$1k bankroll and put $200 in five diff books what's my 5% bet?

Its really sad that most these models didn't include the woman's NCAA which Infelt had better odds and won more on than the men's NCAA
