The truth is I've never been one to go all agog over a singer, much less a local talent. But this girl, from the moment I heard her voice 3 years ago, turned me into a Morissette stalker, if that is the right word. Binged watched all her videos, re-watched endlessly countless reaction videos, so on and so forth. Practically heard and witnessed the evolution in her voice, the maturity in her performances yet retaining that bubbly, genuine personality that makes me want to hear and anxiously wait for more. As much as I love this cover, I thought that the original is more heart-wrenching probably because Sara wrote it (she actually wrote all the songs for the Waitress musical!) and that personal touch gave a different meaning to the song when she sings it. The untimely pauses seem to ruin the moments. I understand it’s a reaction video but timing is just as important. Mom was feeling the message a lot of times here but you kept spoiling the moment.
