I think its definitely gonna be tougher bc we'll have the weapon fights and more playable characters so most likely more combat mechanics and more materia, and more options usually translates to higher difficulty and also since it'll be the finale it would make sense for it to have the most replayability which til this point has come in the form of post game battle challenges
If they cared what their fans thought, they'd have patched it by now to make it less of a frustrating experience. I'll probably pass on the next one to be honest, given their evident hatred of players.
Maybe both depending on endgame content vs final 1/3rd. They do need to add checkpoints WITHIN simulator challenges if they're gonna keep Chadley around.
Dude, he went into his third phase much earlier than he did for you, and his arm didn't even have a target. No wonder I didn't see it, it wasn't even letting me to begin with. The game is literally telling me to go fuck myself at this point.
I just beat it using something very similar as my materia isn’t as good as yours. I do wish I could reset to my old materia layout though after haha Quality of life change for part 3 is to save materia load outs
I forgot where it was, either the GameFAQ forum or Reddit, but I saw people theorising that Square Enix didn't even test the bosses on Hard mode, and regardless of whether it's true or not, it's not hard to see where they're coming from. In my last attempt, Dyne immediately stun-locked me with his giant arm upon entering the third phase until I died, you barely get a chance to go on the offensive, let alone find out that you can actually destroy the arm. I ended up uninstalling the game out of mental exhaustion and decided to take a break from the game, but finding out that it's as simple as saving up two ATB and taking out his arm immediately with one spell feels like a slap in the face.
This was one of the most annoying fights I had on my hard playthrough. I had to see what you did in this fight, so I kept checking your channel everyday to see when the video was dropped. I wish I had waited for your guide, your strategy was indeed much faster than what I did 😂
It was very annoying to begin and i was thinking, "Well, what am I going to do here" lol, but this strategy came together without too much trouble luckily. GI Nattak on chapter 10.........whole other ball game, gotta be the worse so far to optimise. It feels similar to Cait Siths solo bout again, having to fight a boss which the characters we're provided with are not built for
For Gi Nattak I basically saved the limit breaks for the doom phase, and used elemental fire on the armour. For Cait Sith in chapter 11, I used your strategy from the Legendary solo battle 😂
@@hugoabreu11 I can use the Limit to start and then its ready again for Doom, but its just finding a clean strategy. Oh have i got another Solo Cait fight to look forward to, i'd forgotten ;(
Gottem! Not quite as graceful as your fight as i accidentally pressed the overcharge button in the second phase but i managed it with Swiftcast on Fire. Also my Magic Focus and Swiftcast materia aren't mastered yet so I'm probably lacking damage. Have to say thanks again. Really appreciate the time and effort it must have taken to come up with these strategies! ❤
This was one of the boss fights I knew I would struggle with, but was determined to try and come up with something to win before watching this video to compare or follow the strat best I can. Mostly the same, I think, I still mainly just don't have Genji gloves, so had to inch my way toward the end. Definitely wasn't as smooth either, but because of the way my attempt that actually completed it ended, I'm keeping the result. I thought it was hilarious. Lol Blocking his bullets honestly escaped my mind, regardless of me having steadfast block. 🤦♂️
For me it was not even knowing that you could destroy his arm, Normal difficulty lets you off but with Hard you're basically a dead man if you don't destroy it immediately. The Assess menu tells you that he uses it but I don't remember it saying you can destroy it.
@Jdeadevil Yeah, after a couple attempts gauging his arm in the second phase, I did learn you can run back to dodge it. It's the electric shock things afterward that made it tricky in the second swing. (By tricky, I mean I kept forgetting lol) After that, he'd be getting me for sure. It kinda sucked. Haha
There are only 3 trophies left to me to platinum but Im considering droping this game for good. This is not hard, this is pure bull sh*t. Im so frustrated right now.
Even with this help, I can't do it, he always does an "attack" when he jump on me (don't know the English name I play in French) and does a lot of damage. And I can't have the timing right
A little quick thing I noted: I spammed perfect dodge on his normal attacks with Elemental + Fire equipped, does slightly increase his stagger gauge. This was another boss that took me 3 of so attempts on.
I cant fucking stand these guides, the minute I hear genji gloves I leave. GENJI gloves dont help anybody because you have to finish the entire game to get them When we look for these guides it means we have not yet done the game on Hard mode so we need real equipment.
You also have to finish the game to unlock Hard Mode, so why are you looking at a hard mode guide if you havent even unlocked it yet?? You dont have to complete any hard mode chapters to get the Genji Gloves, you just load a chapter on hard mode and warp around to get what you need. Apologies this is not for now, dislike the video and have another search and I hope you find what you need
@@OptinoobyI am on hard mode that’s my whole point. The problem is that to get the glove you have to already have the game beat on hard mode. I am just saying including that item in the tutorial doesn’t help those trying to beat the game on hard the first time.
There is absolutely no requirement to beat hard mode to get the glove so im really not sure where you getting that information from, so your source is incorrect im afraid. Just load chapter 13 on hard mode, then warp around and get the materials. Thats all i will say, up to you if you choose to believe me or not. I had the Genji Gloves completing ZERO chapters on hard mode, in fact, my guide is proof for that, so i cant really argue if you dont believe the footage
@@Optinooby See I didnt know that. If you can do it that way then thats a different story. Based on what I saw you needed to beat the game on Hard in order to get the materials to get it done. Will try and see if I can do what you said.
I've platinum this game with the help of the legendary challenges guides here. I'm still watching these videos to support content creators like you.
I'm just here for the "Steel Foreskin" strat
I wonder if they are going to make Part 3 tougher or easier based on how Fans have struggled with the challenges on this game.
Compared to the mini-games, the battles are much easier.
If they cared what their fans thought, they'd have patched it by now to make it less of a frustrating experience. I'll probably pass on the next one to be honest, given their evident hatred of players.
They'll make it harder, Japanese developers just have that stick-up-your-ass.
Maybe both depending on endgame content vs final 1/3rd. They do need to add checkpoints WITHIN simulator challenges if they're gonna keep Chadley around.
You were my spirit guide in Remake, bruv thanks for this too! Didn’t even realize it was you when I clicked on the vid 😅
I added SwiftCast to this and honestly I was really trying to make this quick cause it was too sad seeing Dyne like this.
Took me a few tries but got there in the end. Thanks for the guide, great vid.
This was a great guide made it a walk in the park
I am being able to go after this platinum just because of your guides. Thanks!
It got messy toward the end of the fight because I messed up the sequencing, but THANK YOU so much for your excellent guide!!
Amazing guide. Thank you so much!

Happened to me too, I shouldve used the steel foreskin strat lol
Steel Foreskin never lets you down
this helped me so much. never realized you can use multiple elemental materia and the bonuses from the blue materia stacks! thanks!
Couldn’t have done this without you. Thank you.
Barret @2:50 Man, That Broke Me.
Can’t Save Them All Brotha.
Thanks for the guide, first battle to really trip me up
Man great strategy. I didn't have Genji gloves so mine wasn't quite as smooth but still beat it on first try without any issue.
Phoenix in this battle really saved me. A couple of reraises did the trick.
Dyne looking like Bryan Fury from Tekken
Especially when he starts blasting into the air at the start of Phase 2 lol
Perfect, thanks dude
True definition of “best defense is a good offense,” lol
I just beat it using something very similar as my materia isn’t as good as yours.
I do wish I could reset to my old materia layout though after haha
Quality of life change for part 3 is to save materia load outs
They should have that it would save a whole lot of time.
Thanks! Beat him on hard with this strategy (I did use Steelskin and Lifesaver though and that definitely saved me toward the end… 😅)
Thanks for the tutorial bro this fight sucked
your guides are perfect
This got me there. Thank you!
Nice build, im doing hard mode for manuscripts so i can close out the final brutal challenge (taking a LONG break). This should spare my sanity.
Wow you made that fight so easy! Thanks a ton

Third stage quick Fire lv2 on his arm, then stop him, build 2xATB Fire lv 2 = stagger, build 2xATB Fire lv3 done.

@@RiccardoCasula Genji Gloves
Thank you
U make this look sooo easy man.. but then again I do not have my purple and blue material leveled all the way..
Definitely do this if you want to do the rest of the game on hard. It really isn’t *that* challenging when you do
Square really needs to eliminate BS fights from their games. Make it hard, but fair. I hate this fight....so stupid.
What’s not fair about it? It’s pretty easy with max materia.
