    Pure mid-80s back in 1978. Yngwie and Eddie made the 80s sound. Ahead of their times.

      I can perceive here a delicious mixture of Blackmore's and Roth's styles, elaborated though in his own personal way..

    This is one PERFECT example of the maestro's execution virtuocity, arrangement skills and immense compositional talent even since his mid teens!
    I really wish Yngwie would re-record his Powerhouse demo, paying tribute to his really early days, so that more fans would get to know this and the other gems found in his 1978 home-studio effort!

      This was recorded in 1978? So he was 16 then. Was this recorded at home or in a studio somewhere? Anyone know? Is this his earliest first recording? I would like to hear the very first stuff he ever recorded, that would be cool to hear, see some videos of him at the very beginning of it all.

    • @Freawulf
      @Freawulf 4 года назад +6

      @@michaelcraig9449 It was recorded in his maternal grandmother's basement in Stockholm which he had practically turned into a home studio. I was lucky to visit the place back in July 2016 albeit it looks nothing like it used to: it's now a storage place for the building's tenants. But it was way cool to go down the very same narrow stairs Yngwie and his early bandmates used to some 40 years ago (although he recorded this particular demo all by himself: a true genius in the making!)
