We had one of those metal wall walmart jobs, about 3ft deep, 2500 gallons. If my neighbor hadn't been a pool installer, I never would have got that thing put together right. But he sourced us a good pump and sand filter, and it was a blast for several years when the kids were young. Bonus, when the hurricanes come and the water is out, you have plenty of buckets for flushing the toilet.
My grandparents had a pool, and I spent as much of my summer at their place as possible. I fell in that pool when I was two, I learned to swim and dive in it, and do round-offs in it! I’m still obsessed with having a pool. This set up would be my ideal as it would be so easy to care for! 😍 I’m literally lounging in my own kiddie pool on hot days. Nope, not ashamed to admit it! 😉 It works for now.
Jack, we had a stock tank for our swimming pool. When Dad's pond dried up in one of his pastures, I let him use it and they hauled in water to water the cows. Kinda forgot about until a strong south wind blew up and took the tank north up against the fence. it was bent up pretty bad. I think the cows or the bull tore it up. Not sure if it will hold water now. Of course I got a good creek a hop, skip and a jump from the house. I go swim in there during the summer.
I've been waiting for this. Actually I've been waiting for the video on the liner, now to go find that one. Great job Jack. FYI Tractor Supply has a competitor in Rural King. I would rather drive 30 miles to a Rural King than 11 miles to a TS. I feel like I get better quality products from RK.
Just found your video. Love the set up of your backyard. My question is, did you put the pump in before you used it? After you used it? Or during the use of the pool? How does it run? Yes I do not know anything about the pump. Do you plug it in or how does it service the pool? Thank you
I’ve seen these on other RUclips channels and they all seem to be happy with them. Will be interesting to see how it does in hotter weather. Did you say you had a way to add chlorine to it via the pump?
A pool isn't 100K for a small yard. I just spent 60K worth every penny with a heater. A professionally built pool adds equity, a stock tank decreases home value unless you have stock. Having fun with you. Your kiddo will love it.
Thanks for watching everyone! Have you ever made on of these?

We just run it when no on is in it for about an hour.
@@YakMotley thank you. This makes me very interested in getting one. I just did not want to cut the holes in it ether. 👍
Awesome 😎 how much did your water bill go up??

FYI you may want to upgrade to a sand filter for your pool. the cleaning process is easier.
really nice, fun :)

Would've been cool if you put some fake grass/astro turf down first Yak.
