Got it assembled and fitted within minutes the only downside is I can see every little imperfection in my board at 7ft 9 and a quarter haha. The light is so bright and well worth the money.
These are awesome. Easiest install ever, no extra drilling required. I have a board in the basement as well as the garage, can swap this light back and forth between boards with ease.
Just got this and yes literally took minutes from the box onto the board, very easy! Great if you want to take it on the road with you (so I'd suggest not to throw out the box). Great LED lighting system!
man for the price wow i have a clip on light nothing like this i still cant get over the price when i get back to Florida im just ordering it this is why i love the darts nuts just keeps us ahead of things👍
Thanks Darren! I have been needing to see how this lighting is setup. Question, online shops show it is wider than a surround, is that they case of is it flush with the surround?
Loving the channel, after watching all your reviews I'm stuck between rock and hard place. I'm new to the sports, it turns out Im a rear thrower, what darts would you recommend?
Cheers! Well I would start with a basic straight barrel ring grip first and see how you get on, anything like a Bristow style. Once your more settle with your throw you can try others.
Hey Darin, can you see the ring of light towards you at the oche. Can you see the light as you throw. Was wondering if so will they turn the mold slightly in to keep the light out of your sight.
Target corona virus dartboard light system, is more apt at this time! p.s you were even showing signs of flu like symptomsWas it made in china by any chance ?
For boards that don't have metal cases, it appears that wedging the feet between the plastic case and a surround would work just fine. Great review as always! :)
Not heard of anyone with the same problem, your best bet is to message Target about it, they may send a replacements as it should still be under guarantee :)
Id love to get a lighting system for my board, my light on my roof is alittle dodgy and makes it alittle yellow looking. Only problem being that it's out of my price range.
That was a speedy reply, I might have to have a squiz because I'd like to get something at least to brighten up my board. Love the reviews by the way, always keen to see what you have your hands on in the next video.
What is the power rating of the adapter (V and A)? Thinking I could craft together a battery pack to power it, mount it behind the board (still accessible for swapping batteries) and wire a switch to the front. Since my board isn't near a power source, I'd have to run extension cables like on your setup, which wouldn't be preferable as I'm going for a clean look. Thanks!
That's great, thank you. As expected, 3A is gonna be too high for AAs but 18650s won't be a problem. Have to wait for the system to get released before I get started, but when I've eventually got it running, I might make a video on the battery pack. If I do, I'll link it here.
I have been looking at this for while but would I be able to take it off the board at will? its a bit too bulky to have it up all the time. I'd just want it up for when I'm playing. Cheers.
Well I guess that is the big question that remains to be answered. At £60 its the cheapest I think but the plastic seems strong enough to me, I think you would have to really power the dart at the ring to break it but I guess over the coming months we will find out if anyone does indeed do that.
@@DartsReviewChannel yes they do @£20 at the moment I have 3 lights on the blink so I might hang on for now get me use out of it then but the replacement strip
This came to late :( About a year ago i place an extra celling light with 4 light spots for more light on the board. My friend did buy one, but the light looks unnatural and i sqeeuz my eyes when looking at the 19,17,15- etc ^^.
Thinking of getting one of these but if you could tell me please what is the max height above the dartboard in cms does this go, have not got loads of playing space above my board.
Darts Review Channel cheers pal. Thats actually my max limit in head height above board gonna need to drop a couple of cm now for this measured the other day 13cm is what i have above it now. Ordered this earlier today. Loved your review 👍🏼
Darts Review Channel alright mate. The vision arrived WOW blown away it’s class, only thing is the legs are short i have a 40 cm dartboard only never knew this whole time wasn’t full size, is it not possible to get this onto my board now?
see this website, the SMDs are right-angled: heracolights.com/2014/03/10/3528-vs-5050-vs-5630-led-smd-diodes/ so i would say its 5630. i've just build a DIY with the Target original replacement stripe, coz i was wondering the same.
Darts Review Channel .......ok, looked like it was wobbling even when the darts hit. Think I’m gonna go with the unicorn one you reviewed.....looks neater and more compact.
Yeah I think the Unicorn one is a better build quality, the magnets on the Corona came loose after a while and also the led strip light lost its stickiness so that came out too. Had to super glue it back in.
Darts Review Channel ......thanks for the info mate, got a league match tonight so was faffing about on RUclips and came across your channel. What dartboard would you recommend, as our current one is just about done. I say “our” as the wife plays too.
I think the one80 gladiator 3 is probably the best board now but some people say its a bit hard but I think its got the right level of firmness, if you prefer a softer board then the winmau blade 5 or blade 5 dual core but I don't think they last as well as the blade 4 did. :)
Received mine today, can’t wait to set it all up. Great review as always, your seal of approval on all things darts are a must
Got it assembled and fitted within minutes the only downside is I can see every little imperfection in my board at 7ft 9 and a quarter haha. The light is so bright and well worth the money.
The Best dartboard light ever......Price and Performance
These are awesome. Easiest install ever, no extra drilling required. I have a board in the basement as well as the garage, can swap this light back and forth between boards with ease.
Agree , mine was install in 1 min .
Just got this and yes literally took minutes from the box onto the board, very easy! Great if you want to take it on the road with you (so I'd suggest not to throw out the box). Great LED lighting system!
Thanks Darren for this quality review...It showed everything I needed to know about it and you convinced me buying one of my own now.
Cheers Mike! Glad it was useful for you :)
got mine coming soon :) cant wait.
I think you will be happy with it :)
Corona and Corona. Great light
got me one of these today in all the argos stores in Nottingham there was only 1 glad I got it after watching you video cheers daz
Cool! :)
I've just bought this and it's brilliant you can take the brackets off but it's just as much effort to take them off as it is to put them on
man for the price wow i have a clip on light nothing like this i still cant get over the price when i get back to Florida im just ordering it this is why i love the darts nuts just keeps us ahead of things👍
Hope you like it :)
Love your videos. Watch them all the time. Will this work inside a cabinet?
Thanks! I dont think it will
many tanks from across the pond. great review, cant wait to set it all up.
Have fun!👍
Just got mine today, so pleased with it, thanks for the review :)
No problem! :)
Great review, I'm always trying to find better ways to light up the board and this seems to definitely do the job so definitely willing to buy one
Thanks mate, its certainly a good system and cheap enough too :)
Darts Review Channel yeah really cheap than the other lighting systems that go for about €100
I guess its possible to make your own but this is better than what I could do :)
Darts Review Channel yeah if I tried making my own it would be an utter disaster 😂
I am totally useless at DIY!
Thanks another great review! Been waiting for this to come out, as my room lights are awful and top half of board is quite dark! Roll on 27th!
I think this will make a massive difference then :)
Got mine on Pre order, cant wait to get it up. Looks great.
Yeah I think a lot of people have pre-ordered already so would not be surprised if stock runs out quick :)
Thanks Darren! I have been needing to see how this lighting is setup. Question, online shops show it is wider than a surround, is that they case of is it flush with the surround?
Think from memory it was a bit wider but I no longer have it to double check
why the wobble, blade 6 board has the screws on the back, is this a false wall?
my wall had so many holes and other things screwed in over time, the bracket was coming off the wall.
How much wider is the lighting compared to the board itself?
I think I did mention that in another comment, think its about 5 inches.
How long is the standard power cable? I am considering buying it
around 10 feet
Awesome piece and simple to install .
Loving the channel, after watching all your reviews I'm stuck between rock and hard place. I'm new to the sports, it turns out Im a rear thrower, what darts would you recommend?

Darts Review Channel thank you keep up the good work mate
My board is in a cabinet. Do you believe the fixture will clear the cabinet? Thanks
Not 100% sure but my guess is likely not.
Hey Darin, can you see the ring of light towards you at the oche. Can you see the light as you throw. Was wondering if so will they turn the mold slightly in to keep the light out of your sight.
not when you look straight ahead, check the pics here: www.dartsnutz.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=26663
Can you make a Review of the winmau blackout?
they are on my list but its a very long list so no idea when I will get some :)
I probably want to buy them but i am not sure so i want your opinion
seem decent to me so just get some! :)
Does it looks better with a surround?
yeah a little better
Thx
No problem :)
Target corona virus dartboard light system, is more apt at this time! p.s you were even showing signs of flu like symptomsWas it made in china by any chance ?
lol yes it was made in China :)
😂😂😂
I am glad to hear the plastic parts are quite rigid. I think I would rather have the darts bounce off of them rather than stick into those pieces.
I think they should be durable really and I think for the dart to stick in it would have to be throw really hard!
For boards that don't have metal cases, it appears that wedging the feet between the plastic case and a surround would work just fine. Great review as always! :)
Yeah it may do if its tight enough fit :) Cheers!
I bought this about 7 months ago now and never had any problems with it be now it turns itself off. Any body else have his problem
Not heard of anyone with the same problem, your best bet is to message Target about it, they may send a replacements as it should still be under guarantee :)
Hey Darren, how many inches of space above the board is required? I may be interested in this, but my ceiling is a bit low.
Well if you can fit a surround on you will be able to fit this, I dont think its much more than about 6 inches
Thanks man.
No problem :)
Darren what would you prefer at this time? winmau plasma corona target or one 80 illumina? kindly regards from belgium
only had the Corona out of those three so cant say if they others are better but I like the look of the One80 light
Mission torus 270°
Nice, it's not 240p like on Wayne Mardle's channel.
LOL :)
Id love to get a lighting system for my board, my light on my roof is alittle dodgy and makes it alittle yellow looking. Only problem being that it's out of my price range.
There is a few people on the forum that have made there own for less than £30 :)
That was a speedy reply, I might have to have a squiz because I'd like to get something at least to brighten up my board.

Yeah one guy used a wheel trim: www.dartsnutz.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=25881&highlight=hula Glad to hear you like the reviews :) Thanks!
Excellent, looks like I'll have to pay my local Bunnings warehouse a visit. :) cheers.
:)
Is it good for a dartstand? I hope it is not that heavy
Yeah it will be fine, there is a few people I know that use it with a stand.
What is the power rating of the adapter (V and A)?

Since my board isn't near a power source, I'd have to run extension cables like on your setup, which wouldn't be preferable as I'm going for a clean look. Thanks!
on the power adapter it says output is 12v 3A if that helps?
That's great, thank you. As expected, 3A is gonna be too high for AAs but 18650s won't be a problem. Have to wait for the system to get released before I get started, but when I've eventually got it running, I might make a video on the battery pack. If I do, I'll link it here.

What are the dimensions of the box pls ?
diametre is 66 inches
I have been looking at this for while but would I be able to take it off the board at will? its a bit too bulky to have it up all the time. I'd just want it up for when I'm playing. Cheers.
Yeah its easy to take off and put on again but you would have to have a spot to store it so it may be just as easy to leave on the board :)
Will this fit on my darts cabinet
what is your cabinet like? if it has doors then probably not.
Anychance you can send me meadurements of this as i cant find them online cherrs
I would but I dont have it any more, I think its about 6 inches wider all round the size of the board.
Looks gorgeous
:)
I have the woodworm dartboard surround, would this work with that?
I dont have one but if its the same as any other foam surround then yes it should be fine :)
How often do you use it?
its on my board in the loft :)
@@DartsReviewChannel 😂
@@DartsReviewChannel ill send you the postage cost and take it off your hands?

Darts Review Channel Interesting! Why is it broke? Faulty equipment or faulty handling 😜
the power adapter is work for italian power point?
I am not sure what an Italian power point is like but you can see pics of them in the forum review here: dartsnutz.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=26663
what a sick idea I want one
Its not too bad a price so worth a punt for sure :)
Is this better value for money than a more durable system?

LOL Oh I do miss at times, just before Christmas when my dartitis was coming back I was hitting the wall a lot!
Drc wt better this cheaper version or more expensive cousion the 360
Never tried the 360 vision but I think this is easier to set up and turn your board etc from what others have said :)
Darts Review Channel i use the 360 alot it can affect people eyes who need glasses
I wear glasses and it does not bother me?
Darts Review Channel 360 mydo
Would it work on a cabinet
I dont think you would be able to close the cabinet doors but it may still stick on.
Yes it works on a cabinet!
Any idea what the length of the power cable is Darren? Can't seem to find the info anywhere
around 10 feet
Cheers mate much appreciated

No mate.
@@DartsReviewChannel even if I let the cabinet open?
I bought the winmau professional set with cabinet...
possibly but as I dont have a cabinet I dont know how much space it has but my guess is the arms of the light may not fit in right.

Just go online and order from a darts retailer :)
Thanks DRC... another review that cost me more $$! LOL
LOL sorry! :P
ok so we know the power supply 12v 3a. So what kind of leds they are using? How many watts and kelvins? Its SMD leds 3528 or 5050 or 5630?

Y does your dartboard wobble so much lol also nice review exactly what I was looking for
it was on a stand, thanks! :)
what did you mean, is the Target corona a good investigation? :)
not sure what you mean?
Only Problem I see is. I use an Alien bristle board and the outside rim of the board is Plastic, nothing for the magnets to stick to
Yep I mention that in the review about the Shot Bandit plus having plastic edge. I think they also make the Alien boards.
Nice steering wheel
Funny that's it's called corona
Looks pretty cheap material. 90 euros lol
Had mine 4 years exactly, only changed the LED stripping once in all that time. Not a scratch or single hole in the material either.
Is this the reason of the virus?
lol
It is possible
If someone hits the plastic with a dart then they need a new sport.
what if they are a beginner?
@@DartsReviewChannel glad you covered that...that's my only concern.
