Grazie Maestro Pollini. Programma bellissimo e ampio .. Non scopro certo io che lei sia un pianista di immenso talento !! Lei fa onore alla musica e all'Italia .....
thank you very much.he played very well on this occasion.in a studio he is still great.fallible now sometimes he plays live but infallible in a studio.it s a pity he spends little time to record. and time isn t on his side-
the third sonata is super. i ve read 2 reviews of this recital: one is from the new york times and the reviewer found the recital compelling. the op55 were the best but the highlight was the performance of the Chopin s third sonata(which pollini would record 17 months later) r- recorded in 2018 and despite the scherzos gave pollini trouble and he clipped some runs and avoided some scales,it was thrilling. this is from the new york times; the articles can be retrieved, it s on public domain. however, the blog backtrack was less enthusiastic about the recital. the first half was very fine but found the third sonata to be the most disappointing thing in the recital. i don t agree but everyone has their point of view.
Was the audience about to clap between the end of the Largo and the beginning of the Finale? Hehe 1:12:15 Apparently it has happened with Ivo Pogorelich in 1992 and with Yundi Li in 2012...
I attended this recital. I will never forget it. Pollini is incomparably great.

se è un recital del 2017, complimenti, maestro Pollini, la tenuta tecnica è ancora fenomenale

录音室里当然也错啊 但后期处理了
Vogliamo pero anche i video di Pollini!! We want to see videos of Pollini also!!
I know nothing of video, and have no videos to look at. If there were any I would gladly share, but all I have is audio only.
R.I.P.

And they keep clapping between the different movements of the sonata too!
42:53 I guess even at Carnegie Hall people sometimes forget to silence their phones :) Still, an amazing recital-thanks for sharing!

晚年手指机能下降严重造成错音很多,中年后的演奏缺乏韵味,平淡无奇。最好的演奏生涯就是七八十年代,那个时候是无可替代的。
