To me, it is more like art book diary rather the journaling itself (writing) but still it so pretty and addictive to watch. Every piece of work are so lovely. ❤🌹🥰

Exactly. I journal a lot and sometimes dress it up with stickers, but this is definitely more of an art book /scrapbook thing.

This is a form of journaling called "junk journaling." It may not be written down, but it's still expressing your feelings by using imagery. That being said, I get what you mean.

I've always thought journaling was writing lol
It is, but sometimes people want to add items as keepsake or things that remind them of something like a book, concert, movie, etc. For me personally I usually journal to write stories, but adding stickers irritate me. Like the idea, but it not for me, just like use every color in the rainbow for different things isn’t for other.
I started bullet journaling this tear after forgetting about it for 2 years and then stopped again. All the decorating and filling out the pages got to me 🤣 Think imma try it again tho

If you think it looks bad that's fine. Your opinions are valid and all but like, op isn't hurting anyone so it's not a problem.
Journaling/scrapbooking is just a hobby, it's just fun to add a lot of details to a page~~

Wow. I used to do something really close to this through my teens and into my mid to late 20s in my journal, although not so refined and with such sharp edges! Also ive not seen the vintage aspect added into the mix before! I love antiques and vintage anything so i really just love this!! I actually just recently bought a buch of paper off temu that could fall into this catagory of journaling lol i just have a love affair with paper in general! especially if its unique and /or beautiful.. i just use it for lists and things these days really.. fond memories with my journals over the years though!! Truly. However the reason why i stopped journaling is a memory im not so fond of. Someone stole my last journal!! To which i had been adding entries for probably 2+years. I felt so violated. Still do in fact. So i never replaced it and i haven't journaled since. I just turned 43 the end of june. I never had thought to myself how i would feel if my journal were ever stolen. The thought honestly hadnt occurred to me really. What i do know is that i definitely didn't expect that id feel so violatedd as i do still feel to this day. Probably because i also wrote entries into my journal as well as make these sorts of collages. I had just gone through a terrible and drawn out break up. We were together 8 yrs and the brake up happened kind of gradually over about 2 yrs i think. And i had started this particular journal a year prior to the the start if the break up.. so there was quite a bit of vulnerability in there i guess you could say. I really do miss it but so crazy busy with my 7yr old who is autistic and requires a ton of assistance at home so now is not the right time to buy and begin a new journal however i cant wait to teach my daughter once she gets to that point lol hopefully she'll enjoy it as much as i have ! Thx so much for sharing and to those who read my comment!. Thank you for taking the time to understand this experience that still traumatizes me up until this very day. Maybe if i were to buy my next journal it would help me to release some of that trauma and those feelings of vulnerability.....? Thats a good point though lol maybe ill select and buy one just to have it in my possession for when im ready to add in my first entry.... maybe..... we'll see.. well there now i feel like ive sort of worked this out a bit finally!! and i now know what i need to do lol seeing your post and sharing my experience because of seeing your post helped me work through some of those feelings ! No kidding lol! i guees journaling really can be considered as a type of therepy in itself!! Lol thx again!!
Interesting story you've got here!! Never thought of scrapbooking, and my journaling skills are not so beautiful, so i don't think i would feel that bad about stolen book...
I do draw though! So if my laptop, discs & paperpieces were burned or stolen - i would've feel unalived :(
Would still draw though - cause if some hobby makes you happy, then you better keep it by your side to brighten your day!

Omg. If someone read my stuff, I could definitely understand feelings of being violated. It's not just "a stupid book" . But I would suggest getting a new one & keeping it at home. I wouldn't take it anywhere, just incase. Things r too easily lost.
I would like to know where all that vintage looking paper & the accessories come from tho. It's all so neat. Way better than most things I have seen online.
You should look into making a glue book! At least they sounds like what you were doing. I also used to do that and recently found out the name is glue booking. I hope you manage to overcome the anxiety around having your journal stolen and get to create again ❤
The result is cute but this is called scrapbooking! Journaling is where you write down your thoughts of the day(s)
