Finally, more racing games need a challenge and motivation instead of just handing out everything for doing the bare minimum
They should add cops, making it even harder
@@kingcheezprod It's inspired by Wangan street races that happened back in the day and police back then had no cars that could catch them,let alone keep up with them.
@@hillclimbracingfan5821 no police force in the world relies on cars that can keep up with street racers to stop street racing, all tactics favour volume of force over quality of force

And one thing to add,this was happening before social media.
or requiring you to put in days worth of game time for fuckall (cough cough TC:M)
Here’s a few tips I learnt from a full day of playing this game.
Upgrades to get:
-Cams (increased acceleration and top speed)
-Turbo (best value for money regarding power)
-Coilovers (cars handle like trucks in this game, you need handling upgrades)
-Intercooler/Radiator for cooling (I aim to keep cooling at 100% or more)
-Tires (handling)
-Aftermarket gauges (stock gauges are useless after certain speeds)
-Transmission (focus on this later when you have more money)
Driving tips:
-Keep your eyes on the road at least 95% of the time, this level of focus is required at top speed
-Listen to your engine and figure out when you’re close to the redline through hearing only, so you won’t have to glance at the tachometer
-Shift down only when you’re on really low revs, shifting is quite slow and clunky
-Heat tires to about 30 degrees for drag (take this with a grain of salt, that temp works for me generally speaking)
-Brake early for turns
-If necessary, brake slightly to avoid traffic. Better slow down a little than slow down a lot (crashing)

@@zennormoselen549 You gotta look at the gauges when buying. Then you buy the gauges that show the appropriate stuff.

A big issue I always notice with the racing community is that they always tend to underrated racing games with potential until it is too late. Blur, Split Second, Grid Legends, Unleashed 2 Turbocharged...
So the fact that this game, which also has a lot of potential, is getting all the attention, fills me with joy. Is finally time to change things

This series is pretty entertaining, I’m really enjoying how excited theo is. Just going between happy and stressed is fun. It’s obviously different if you’re playing but again I’m just enjoying it.
It's kinda refreshing to have such a back and forth feeling of emotions hahaha
I like how they already updateing it while we play instead waiting and actually listening to the people
Here’s what I found out while playing the game . If you go To storage u can sell your stock parts or any part that u don’t have installed for money. Also make sure u have your fully maxed out for when u get to the boss they are seriously hard and he doesn’t play fair and also if you go upstairs in your garage . Where the tv is if u look at the games on the floor you will see some great classics games .

THE THROW BACKKKK
I've played about 15 hours and pretty much maxed out my car/raced everyone.
Here's some tips for you Theo:
1. If you go into the customisation menu you can change certain things with your car. E.g changing the BOV sound or changing the placement of your licence plate.
2. As far as I know, the engine stays at amber all the time and there's no real issue there.
3. Fun fact I found out accidentally, if you reject your opponent's wager, you can ask to wager more money! (Usually allows you to reject 3 times, sometimes less and the money you can squeeze depends on the specific opponent).
4. You might want to increase your handling before any more engine mods, it makes the maneuverability honestly soooo much more smoother.
There's much more to find out, but I'll leave you to figure that out in the next video

I like the difficulty and opponent system of this game because I think its more accurate to an actual wangan type street racing experience what with the rep and stuff
That is the EXACT guy i lost all my money too this morning LMAO. The drag system is really cool i just wish we got some explanations or tutorials before being thrown out there.

Dude… do you know anything??? it’s about ventilation and cooling… the COOLANT runs inside the engine. little grooves around most of the engine…keeping the Oil from cooking….. you know nothing lol
@@StarJacey hahah a intercooler is different than an oil cooler or a radiator. A front mount intercooler actually impedes the performance of the radiator and/or oil cooler. Why do you think subaru do top mount? intercooler?
@@TexTheMaster I hear you.. but still doesn’t mean you need to chirp someone who has their car.. radiators are generally behind the intercooler and oil cooler in front of it all, even the bumper at times.. and the air cooling on the engine matters too, so many variables.. best option is to bay shave the car if it matters that much to you.. functionality and aesthetics is worth the personal labor in my opinion

If you notice, your top speed is declining overtime as your engine deteriorates from overheating. This game is so well made to be honest.

Who ever is playing this. Something I discovered today playing it, if you hold down the hand break “not in a race” and press the gas it has anti lag and launch control. My car is currently fully modded and I have the straight cut gears so not sure if it needs to be upgraded before you can do it. But pretty cool!
Why this games, like evene JDM, give me the best vibes. They make me feel like when i was a kid playing underground. They give you that sense of achieving something. Not like the recent one, where everything wants to go too big, but loosing the soul in the meantime.
The amber numbers on a photo are for identification purposes, so you know which photo is which in a batch of photos. Im pretty sure the numbers are film specific but idk
wish theres like features where the ai roaming the street too and you can flashing your lights to initiate a race,like tokyo xtreme racer series,the parking spot was a plus one in this game

if you buy parts and then upgrade them further, you can sell the old upgrades and keep the new ones. it wont let you sell upgrades equipped to the car so anything you sell is spare

Follows the formula similar to Tokyo extreme racer. Build the car out performance wise first, then looks. I remember spending hours building and tuning cars for days before anything else.
keep in mind that the nos also makes your car overheat and it uses all your fuel and i havent figured out how to replenish it yet

Felt like i was blessed when i seen this video was 30 mins
I could see drag racing being viable maybe with a two shot system and having three of them so you can switch them out when they inevitably overheat that way you don’t have to damage the engine and you can actually make money and not just have to replace the engine all the time
The dev should fix the date stamp that appears on the photo at the end of each race.
Some years that are mentioned on there don’t match the cars and / or the modifications done to it…

NGL, as unintuitive as it is - I kind of like how there's a bit of figuring out involved. So many games are so similar in how they act so it feels kind of refreshing to have a system that isn't immediately pick up and play

So do other racers scale with you? For example if I upgrade or kit out my car, do the same racers then get faster? Or is it that I am instead racing new individuals that are faster? Or something else entirely?
At this point in the game, rivals do not scale. A rival’s reputation is a rough measure of how difficult of an opponent they are relative to you. Raise your rep, spend your cash on upgrades, learn the highway, and you’ll be ready to take on tougher competition.
It would be awesome to see rivals dynamically upgrade their cars throughout the campaign, but I don’t know if anything like that is in the works.
Oh, I actually prefer that. While seeing rivals upgrade their cars would be dope, I'm glad it isn't an artificial scaling where if you upgrade, they automatically do too. I think it's actually better that there's a more objective progression where you can be better than former rivals etc. Although having a non-arbitrary upgrade process for rivals would be great, too. Like every now and again if rivals make enough money, they can upgrade etc. @@theangrymilitant Appreciate the info, too.
