Animation is like a new reality and I’m very serious about that. I was growing up with movies such as ice age and robots and they’d always be great movies from my childhood witch I find them on Disney plus today blue sky studios was a studio of its own potential but sadly got a unfortunate end
Animation is definitely not for kids. Invincible, Justice League Apokolips War, Dead Space (yes they had an animated movie) It doesn't even have to be super gory, Bojack Horseman for example. Animation is FOR ALL AGES, YOUNG AND OLD. Why can't RUclips understand that.
I think the “all ages” part is where people get tripped up tbh. I’ve noticed this weird assumption among modern audiences that “all ages” = “for kids and kids only”. Any movie that CAN be enjoyed by kids will be enjoyed by them, and I feel like adults fear that. They don’t want to potentially enjoy a movie they know kids will watch because it embarrasses them, and it challenges society’s expectations on what films adults “should” like and want to see. When you look at the state of “adult” animation, it becomes pretty clear.
@@Flippylover_69 That is a great point. The truth is that this line of thinking exists in live action movies and shows too. You probably won't have your 3 year old watch Breaking Bad, but they can probably watch Ella Enchanted (Not sure why this was the first family live action movie that popped in my head lol). It depends on how "adult" your story is. I watched Jurassic Park pretty early in life and loved it des[pite it not being a "Kid's movie". In terms of Adult Animation, I'm hoping this shift we are seeing continues where "adult" doesn't just mean swearing and sexual content. Bojack Horseman is a great example that was given above where yeah, they have that sex and debauchery, but it provides a way deeper story than say Big Mouth where that type of stuff IS the story. My nieces and I LOVED Nimona because it was for all ages. I'm really excited for The Wild Robot coming out later this year because it should be something that all audiences can enjoy too, but I am also super excited for Smiling Friends Season 2 and that's something they will not be watching with me lol.
Honestly, if we can have lots more shows that are made for everyone and have them get popular enough, we can probably have another animation renaissance
Im kinda in the middle with Trolls. I loved the first movie because it was fun and had a solid story. The problem is they keep pumping them out and the pacing on the newest one is just WAAAAY TOO FAST. Boss Baby is kinda fun, but I can agree it isn’t for everyone. Definitely not a movie I would rewatch hundreds of times
I agree, animation is not just for kids. What type of generation that we live in now?

RUclips needs to be sued for labeling made for kids content
I don’t care for the boss baby movies
Fair enough! The way you typed that kinda sounds like when Peter Griffin is talking about the Godfather movies 😂
Even the trolls movies I don’t care for either
@@Mariofanaticanimations i wasn’t a fan of trolls especially band together and the 2 trolls are great
