I live close to this hospital and it got fenced in about 2 weeks ago. They still have security driving around this hospital. I really miss this hospital and was sad when they closed it.
My mom worked there for years. Medical receptionist on 2nd floor. As a little kid, she'd take me to work if my older siblings weren't around to babysit. I remember going down to the morgue w/her, I guess drop off paperwork. The hallway was always darker then the other hallways. It was on the same floor as the cafeteria. It was actually just around the corner from the cafeteria.
I was born there in '86... I remember getting my teeth checked out in a section of that hospital in 2000... Still remember the orange windsock on the top of the building...

My mom dad died at the hospital in 2007. I heard my cousin say all the Doctors n nurses there was mean to people's. She even say some nurse trying to kill her by massaging her tummy after she gave birth to my baby nephew back in the 90's.

During nite time drive home frm work to get home the windows facing toward the high school field I see an lady always standing by the window in a white dress around 9pm up on upper floor
I worked there in 2004 until they moved us to community regional medical center. The place was falling apart. We’d grab gloves out of the wall slots and cockroaches would come out. The ER and ICU were really outdated for a level one trauma center. Enjoyed the video. I haven’t been back to Fresno in twelve years and have fond memories of that hospital. I met governor Schwarzenegger there. Lol

One night when he had to go to the bottom floor to empty out the restroom trash can he said that he saw a decapitated hand in the trash can. He shitted himself and told a nearby nurse. Him and 2 other nurses when down to the restroom and checked the trash can. The hand was gone.
At 4.26 and 4.31 when you open the door to that patient Ward it sounded like a very muffled voice low pitch but you could hear with headphones saying what are you doing here like almost if there's a patient in there and you disturb them were you in the North Tower or the South Tower of the building the central tower Northside has a lot of high activity my grandfather was a detective and had to interview people dying on the table in the operating room back in the 70s and 80s there if you want to know anything about that place let me know I have County ties and I can try to pull some strings just be careful in that building there's a lot of hazardous material and God knows what else left over from when they were operating Hospital if you do go in there just be careful have you checked out the basement but like I said be careful because some of those doors in their can lock the reason the electricity is still on the hospital is a film set half the place belongs to the Fresno film Commission so just be careful where you go in there if you did see that board the one separating half the building that's the part that's a movie set type in Old University Medical Center Fresno and it will tell you it belongs to the Fresno film Commission on one part and they still have County offices down there that are still operating those are the cars that you see in the parking lot
Now this whole place is gated up...wonder if they'll do anything with it especially since theres an underground pathway in roosevelt high school that leads u to the hospital

Fifth floor in the south tower had the operating rooms. Somewhere in the south east wing there used to be a psychiatric unit that looked like a jail. Not sure if its still there but would be interesting to see.
