And I really want to come back to Paris, then take the train to Antwerp, then onto Amsterdam, and then a little day trip up to Hamlet Castle. It's great to see railroad facilities like the roundhouse get restored. 03:09. Facilities like that are a wonderful part of our railroad history. I still have to, somehow, visit a model train show with modular train layouts. It's NOT possible living in a "crappy" place like NYC...no train shows there. 🙄 I LOVE this short scene here with a train being pulled by F-units 👉 02:00. I am slowly starting to appreciate diesel-electrics, even though I'm a traction guy. In the past few months, I've purchased some HO brass F-units from Overland Models, lnc. They're beautiful brass pieces. Beautifully crafted by South Korean artisans. I am so glad I have them. But, I'll always remain a traction guy! 😊 Nice Sunday episode. I look forward to next Sunday. 👍

I've always loved Evanston and the people. I used to spend the night there, work related, and in the old old days Cowboy Days. It's always been a significant R/R town glad to see that they're building it back up again. Sounds like a great opportunity Chamber of commerce. When the 3985 came through Evanston I was talking with an old guy who was a fireman if he was a going to see it he said "he'll no I've spent too long firing one but later on there he was watching it!

If we still had PRR and LIRR steam trains back here in Lawn Guyland, NY and ran a similar size train, we would have employed two ten wheelers. Which would have created yawns. You folks are so lucky.
@@lescobrandon3047 I have to say I’ve just always loved western railroads. Be up really old American locomotives crossing the mountains, with the massive big boys and challengers. And don’t get me started about turbines! I vaguely remember 8500 hp turbines climbing echo Canyon to Evanston. All I can say is wow.
I saw where you made a cameo appearance on another RUclips channel. 👍🏼👍🏼. You ought to interview each other, and show some behind the scenes. You could call it a “post” production. You could explain what ends up on the cutting room floor. Check that. I am old school like you, but I think you get my drift.

He bought some land out in the middle of nowhere and he has an idea of building his 7 1/2 inch gauge railroad and moving to a very rural area. But he seems to have completely stopped working on the 7 1/2 inch gauge railroad in his yard, which is unfortunate because it was really looking great, but then he may get back on that. in the meantime, his new passion is guitar!
