    What do you guys think about the KZ castor extra bass version?
    Would it be a good purchase for someone looking for great bass and also how good it would be overall in movies and also games.
    Your views would help me in my purchase decision.

    • @headphone_zone
      @headphone_zone  10 месяцев назад

      The KZ Castor Extra Bass version is a solid choice if you're looking for excellent bass performance. It delivers deep and impactful bass that many users enjoy. However, when it comes to movies and gaming, they should sound decent for movie watching, but they might not be the best-suited option for gaming due to their emphasis on bass.

      Get the KZ Castor Pro (Bass Version), while playing games, do make a gaming EQ profile to hear every detail. Why? It's difficult for one pair of IEM to meet all your expectations (without EQ) especially if the budget is tight.

    I have the Hexa. I wasn’t overly impressed at first. Yes detail etc. but not very exciting. Until I paired them with a Cayin ru6 and then a chord mojo 6. Wow what a difference in listening pleasure!

    Currently using Sony XM4 headphones with no DAC, I am a newbie in the iem space & want to learn / picture the nuances of music.
    Some reseaech landed me to thinking Truthear Hexas might be the best at this price tag for analysing the music.
    So please help me confirm if my assumption is true & if yes then what's the best suited dac to go with these?
    Currently looking at FIIO KA-13 & Shangling UA4.
    PS - I am a commercial director by profession so I have tried some audio technicas from our sound engineer - so are those open backs better than iems for what I intend to do or am I on the right track?

    Great review this time, i hope to be buying them this around end of this year. One of the few times where a review changed my mind when i thought i preferred something over anything. Given my current 7hz zeros the aria2 seem better because of their more enjoyable tuning over the analytical one of the hexa although in the first place i thought i wanted absolute neutrality😅. Combine with the cable and the hard case and the looks they seem to be good for the long run which i plan for. Hope they'll be available for purchase around Diwali. Thanks again for the comparison!

    • @headphone_zone
      @headphone_zone  10 месяцев назад +3

      In the world of IEMs, the price often reflects the quality of the drivers and the tuning. While the number of drivers matters, it's not the sole determinant of performance. Factors like the quality of the drivers, their tuning, and other components all contribute to the overall sound quality. So, it's not just about the hardware superiority; it's also about how well those components are tuned to deliver the desired sound signature. It's a complex topic, but we hope this sheds some light on it!

      For competitive gaming, it's essential to have IEMs that can provide precise audio cues. While the options under 1000rs are limited, you might want to consider increasing your budget slightly to get IEMs that can enhance your gaming experience. However, if you're still constrained by your budget, the KZ - EDX Pro could be a decent choice within your price range.
