Launch of MV Chaumine

This week marked a big step in the construction of our newest vessel. The MV Chaumine was floated in dry-dock and moved to a berth where the final stages of her construction will be completed in the coming weeks.
Chaumine is the first of two vessels currently on order and will be equipped with two conventional main engines as well as two large shaft generators of 6 MW each, which can be used for generating power or for electric propulsion. The vessels have a high degree of flexibility allowing for a seamless integration of new fuels, fuel cells and/or battery technology in the future.
Compared with our largest vessels currently in operation (Celine and Delphine), Chaumine will further reduce CO₂ emissions by 40% while having the same cargo capacity.
