This is one of those great songs that almost no one knows about or remembers. It's stuck with me for almost twenty years.

Probably the best song of the best compilation of the best years for the indie music.
No Alternative came out during a great time for music, which was also during my early 20s. I loved this song, definitely best one on the album.
This song reminds me that I shouldn't "be" for anyone else. I feel it's an anthem for those of us that don't believe in ourselves and think that there's more reasons to be sad than to groove on life. Hang out with urself & get with to know that sknarly person that u are! P.S. sknarley means Super Knarley!
This and American Music Club's "all your jeans were too tight" were the best.

I remember when this song came out, was one of my favs. They played it on the raido it seems for 6 months then lost the cd and after remembering the tune I found it again! thank you for posting it!

I quote lines from this the way junior high English teachers quote Shakespeare. The musical accompaniment is awesome & lyrically awesome---and with a moral to boot. As a parent, I think EVERY parent should play this for their kids, expecially heading into the formative teen years and make sure THEY GET IT!
