If I had to pick one person to help with gofundme, it would be this amazing man.

Send him $5 or $10 or even just $1, everything helps but also helps yourself with knowing you saw someone in need and did something about it, and if you know God then helping others helps you in those eyes too from above and last but most important is you will feel emotion again towards others and for some who give help it brings them tears of Joy literally crying just to see how greatful the ones in need are to recieve help from others....If you can't help with money then tell others about it who can by spreading the word, by spreading the word you are helping in more ways money ever can, for if nobody hears someone needs help then they will fall silently away like a leaf from a tree while everyone sleeps blindly in the night.

Who the hell is Veteran's Affairs treating and taking care of now? They never seem to have the funds to take care of our vets that do need care like this great man so where the hell is the money going?

The young people who know how to manipulate the system; esp those that have been overseas...they say they put n their time & will never work again! They lie about health/mental issues, but veterans like this do not get needed care from them! So sad!!?

You have military retirees and veterans for the past 20 years getting disability benefits with no problem, yet this man served in war back when the VA only helped those that were wounded and got benefits. It wasn’t until around 2004 the VA opened doors to war veterans, but only recent ones.

Sad thing is no man or woman who sacrifices on the battlefield should ever have to pay a goddamn dime for health care. You paid for it already.

+Jerry York That was Frank Levingston NOT Richard Overton. They're both African-Americans and Levingston held the title of Oldest WW2 Veteran in the US before he died so maybe that's why you got it wrong. Overton is still alive and is currently the Oldest WW2 Veteran in the US.
