- Before we move into our new place, I wanted to give you a full tour of our current home. It is a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house for our family of seven. We’ve had to be quite minimal to live here, to make this small space work for our large family! If you’re in a small space as well, I hope this can give you some organization tips, and realization that you can make it work! We are excited to be moving to a new house that’s a bit bigger than this though...it’s time!

Our house is really old (over 100 years) and similar size to yours. We hope to built a new one next year.

We are a family of 6 and I have been working all of covid to minimize all of our “things.” The more we have the more we have to manage. I am so so proud of how well organized you are with your big family and how nothing is just hiding. You have what you need and it works! Good job!!! 👏

We have a fairly large closet and our 1yo sleeps in the crib in there, eventually she’ll be in the girls room and we will get them a bunk along with a twin bed for the 3rd girl. 1500sq ft home with family of 7, 3bed/2 1/2b. We don’t use dressers for the kids, they use the sterilite 3 drawer containers, 1 for each child. Also they don’t have many toys so each child has a bin under their bed with some shared toys.
I love the idea of baby in the closet, we just have no extra space anywhere in this house, or we would have done that! Sounds like you’ve got it figured out well..it’s hard making lots of people fit in a small space 😊
Yes I don’t like clutter, mess is the one thing that pushes my buttons lol and I’m pretty minimalist so surprisingly it feels spacious in here! I hope your move goes smooth. We just moved a few months ago and it was so stressful for me. Lol! Praying it’s no for you and you get settled in quickly.
We are a large family living in a small space also. It's nice to see how someone else makes it work! Love the trundle bed to save space! Excited for you guys to have more space in the new house!

I’m a mom to five, soon to be six in a 3 bed 2 bath. I wish my house had a basement! We have very little storage, so that’s what the garage has turned into. I want to move to a 4 bed. 2 bathrooms is non-negotiable 😆

We are a family of 6, soon to be 7 and we live in a 3bed 1 bath with a half finished basement that we use as a fourth bedroom. I FEEL the want of another bathroom lol our three year plan includes a move to a much larger house. At least twice as big, our current square footage is about 1500sqft including our finished area in the basement lol
We have a family of 8 but 5 rooms
My husband and I did the cord of 3 strands at our wedding ( we also have ours in a cool shadow box) we are going to celebrate 9 years in a couple weeks.
I can’t wait see how big your new house will be.
It’s not huge...but a little bit more space 😊

We’re about to become a family of 7 and we too are in a small 3 bedroom 1 bath. I need my own bathroom. Sharing with 5 boys isn’t fun.

Oh wow. We're down to one bathroom until our girls' bathroom is remodeled. We only have 5, and I'm already going crazy. I totally understand wanting a second bathroom with a family of 7.

We have a 3 bedroom for our family of 7 and sometimes I wish we had a 4th bedroom but they are rare to find under $500,000 here. Have you ever looked at a mini playpen like Graco's Travel Lite? They are awesome for small homes and travelling/camping too.
Never heard of that playpen!
4 bedrooms are very very hard to find here for under $500k as well....we paid under that, but as you’ll see soon, our house needs a lot of work 😊
Why do people need a playroom we kept our toys in our bedroom and had one bathroom for 6 people

lakeysha monk there’s nothing wrong with a playroom if you have the space I just said we didn’t have the room because we needed a bedroom and we kept our toys in our bedroom
Hope you guys are settling into your new place! 😊 Do you ever have trouble with your kids sharing rooms? We plan on having Ezra and Isaac share at some point but right now they'd definitely just wake one another up 🙈😂
It’s what we have to do with this many kids 😆 it definitely means it takes longer for them to fall asleep because they talk. And in the morning more often than not they wake each other up. Once the novelty of sharing a room wears off, it’s really not so bad though 😊

I’m surprised your landlord was able to rent the house to you before making that staircase safe. It can’t have complied with building regulations.

I agree. I wouldn’t call it small. It would definitely be above average in the U.K., especially with the storage basement which is unusual here.
