I think he was a missionary in a very rural area because Salvadorans do not carry a machete everywhere 😂 that only happens in rural areas where most of the ppl work in agriculture. Also, adding the "j" at the end of words it's a accent used in the department of San Miguel Btw food here is so good👌 Great video 🙆
Love you man. THank you for all does good and positive comments about El Salvador I was born in santa Ana far away from the city of santa Ana came to USA during the civil war I was 17 now I am 54 Liv in California God bless you and God bless the USA and El Salvador
It a funny listening to this guy speak about El Salvador. I guess because to me it's so normal what he is describing. Yet he makes it sound like it's something out of this world haha. Thanks for sharing your experience man.
Man never, ever seen someone so passionate when talking about my country and our food, God bless you brother, I'm around the Washington DC area if you ever come around hear there's this two places well there's more than those two, but those two are on my personal opinion the best ones where you can get what you call buñuelos=nuegados y pupusas well you can get the whole nine yards, one it's call Doña Azucena in Silver Spring Maryland and the other one it's call Betsy in Gaithersburg Maryland and if you aloud me I would take you to either one of those.
Iam So AMAIZING how much he Learned from El Salvador - exo. Thanks for visiting, please come back! SV love Visitors 💖 Forgot to add, Salvadorean, take their time to do things... they always like to say" seat down, will do it later - they are Lay back 🙈🤣
The Chicken Sub is actually Turkey and called "Pan con Pavo" or Turkey Bread. In pre-Colombian time the Indigenous people, Mesoamerica, and leaders would gather to meet under the huge Guanacaste trees and when the meetings were in session they are called "Guanaco" by the Mayas. The name Guanaco stuck due to the meetings held in the region of El Salvador.
I really enjoyed this, thank you for your positive attitude and perspective. I was born and raised in San Salvador but had the great opportunity to travel al around the country and to be raised by open minded people. Listening to you took me on a delightful trip through memory lane...
Actually I appreciate this gentleman for his opinion about our culture . Like any country we have our food mostly organic. Am sure it take a little getting use to any culture. Thank you for your opinion sir you're always welcome in our country..
Thank you so much for talking and explaining the life in El Salvador,is so nice,, home cooking, much natural and healthy if you don’t use oil of course and animal much healthier because no hormones,,thanks for sharing your experience❤️
Great video, awesome!, sooo glad that you had such a magnificent experience, I'm from San Salvador living in Los Angeles, Thank you for mission you are doing
In El Salvador , when you go to eat breakfast, lunch or diner, you can see the ladies making tortillas and in the same time recent put it on dishes food oh my god so fresch that is delicious and healty you know .
Im glad I’m watching this video 3 years later. I would invite you to come back and see a difference, mostly related to our new government. Our culture is the same but a now we’re implementing opportunities to our new generation and lot more schools. God Bless you and your church on your missions.
Hello my friend. If you going again to El Salvador. Try the Buñuelos de Arroz is Really delicious also Pupusas de Arroz so good and try little fruit they called Papaturro soo good
Beef is more expensive, so if you are in a rural area you are eating chicken. Atole is a hot sweet corn beverage. You also have corn tamales. Usually the corn tamales are sweet. You went to the very poor side of the country. You find all types of food in suburbs and cities. The tortilla is like bread. They do eat it with most meals. Vos is used the familiar. Tu o usted is used to show respect.
thats right about the machete though, I'm salvadorean in Seattle and i carry machete in my truck. heck yeah. only thing is in the cities people hide their machetes.
Hahahaha I had a good time watching the video. It was funny to listen how a gringo describes our way of living. He for sure spent most of his time in a rural area. Where I grew up in the city, and there, we do not substituted the "j" by the "s." I never was able to learn no speak like some older people did ading some syllabus. I could figured out some words, but it was hard. It is true, we eat a lot of carbohydrates, but I did not gained a lot of weight even though I worked in a office. I believe that it was because I used to walked a lot.
ME AH HECHO LLORAR, DICE QUE LA GENTE ES POBRESITA PERO SIEMPRE TE DAN DE MAS!!! ME HACE GANAS DE TENER A MI PRESIDENTE BUKELE, EL AH TRAIDO EL NONBRE DE EL SALVADOR ARRIBA!! I LOVE PRESIENT NAYIB BUKELE
Did you went to the city? It seems you were in the rural area. In San Salvador you can see a different lifestyle. Is very alike as the american: Buildings, Malls, call centers, advertising, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Mc Donalds, Wendy´s, Denny´s, Christmas, Surf, christian churches, rush, traffic, etc.
Thanks for this conversation about my little country in Central America,l left El Salvador when I was 17 now 45 years old after civil war my family and I we hurt too much by the war But l miss everything..! Now we’re proudly of living in the best country in the world USA 🇺🇸.. my county El Salvador always it’s by my side too ..!!
Actually in El Salvador we have pork farms, and the quality is better!! Don't be scary to try chicharron pupusas, if you try I know that you love them!!
Things are changing in El Salvador. I've visit other places, but the best times I've had with my family its been in El Salvador. Specially with the new President I really encourage you to visit. You won't regret it
This guy is amazing. How can he remember everything. Good story. But by the way not everyone carries a machete. Some people in rural areas but no in the city. And of course he mentioned "rural".
I'm glad you liked our food in El Salvador . I live in USA but I'm from El Salvador I go there every year for vacation have to mention machetes only in Rural areas.
It depends where you go; since in the city people speak differently, they have a lot of education and good manners. Many people in the fields do not have enough hygiene, but that does not mean that we are all equal.
Thank you for sharing so much about my country We call them buñuelos = Nuegados Is diferencia you right So many places out of the city speak the Spanish a little bit wrong 🤷🏻♀️ but I still love my people I jus go with it.
Yep carrying a machete happens just in rural areas not in urban places and the j sound at the end of words is an accent in san miguel i think. But the food he is so right is soooo good.
Good! I like how you know a lot from my country thank you because you’re not just explaining only bad things! Our nick name GUANACOS is not for the animal from Peru 🇵🇪 ,is coming from back in the day before Spain 🇪🇸 discover America. Our ethnic tribal the PIPILES call GUANACOS to the represent of each village to have a reunion under de tree named CONACASTE this was to resolve problems on every village and make the laws. Guanacos mean hermanos brother making reunión under the conacaste. This histori is Not knowing for many people in my country that’s why they never explain you nothing about it.
I’m sorry 😐 for my English but I’m trying to do my best ! 😁 Maybe you can find an article about it! In you language to confirm the definition of GUANACOS thanks you very much!!!
