I find it very interesting to note that they refer to a "Man from the East" and "Man from the West" in the first story - It seems to remind me of the period where Native Americans were forced to live adjacent to European homesteaders and other non-native peoples. Interestingly enough, the Native Americans, though not consistently among all groups, did follow rules on hunting and collecting food, which fits quite well into their view of the world as something they are a part of, as opposed to something they take from (much like the view of the "Man from the West", though in reality there was little skill gap, with the larger problem being technology). On the other hand, the europeans (who settled along the Eastern Seaboard, hence "Man from the East") did not follow these rules, taking more and more from the land and not giving back. Oddly reminiscent of the Europeans hunting American Bison almost to extinction, in my opinion. But yeah, I thought I'd add this opinion here. Tl;Dr: Man from the East is an European, Man from the West is a Native American, and they follow very different beliefs as to the purpose of the wild and that is reflected in their interactions with the animals around them

In older times, people who lived in groups or smaller villages (the earliest civilizations) often married objects believing Animism. Animism is the early belief that objects had life or soul. If I remember right (im pretty sure) they married thinking it would help the object work better, and how they needed to treat the object right because it had a soul.
In terms of lore and literall folklore of the games , ofcourse it would have stuff that we also see in other mythology , gamefreak went a bit freaky but yall probly didnt see half the stuff zeus did in the greek mythos , cuz if the public in general knew, no one would bat an eye at this
I love how this is so new to people, when back in gen one I remember some person in the game mentioning how Pokémon and humans were basically the same and would get married.
believe it or not, this can literaly just be falsely translated, which some people claim it is and i do believe them, even then so stupid they fucking cancel culture fictional animals in a monster catching game
I feel people claiming it's "just bad transactions" is just cope. These are some pretty gross stories centered around pokemon x human "relations" inspired by equally gross folklore/myths.
I have a feeling this is going to be a very short lived meme. The Vaporeon thing was immortalized from cringe, this is just more or less shocking and a little misleading due to the direct translation. Ultimately though, enjoy what you want about Pokemon. I see so many people feel horrible for liking Typhlosion now, when this really shouldn't have bearing over that. Whether this was official or fan made, Typhlosion is a cool design that you can toss any personality over and enjoy.
There’s many different Native American lore’s about humans and animals having relations and humans transforming into animals or half breeds. I think this type of story telling is just apart of human culture.
If anyone played and learned the lore deep in the pokedex, pokemon human relationships are not wierd at all. People can become pokemon. There are plenty of pokedex entries about it. How are we supposed to know that mr. Mime or jinx were not just humans at some point?
Meowscarada kisses you when they're closely connected to you Salazzle will use pheromones to entice their trainers and create harems Goodra literally tries to smother you with love and will become depressed if left alone And there's alot more than that
(Most) Pokemon have intelligence on par with humans. They can also communicate though a variety of means, i.e. telepathy, speech, etc. Thus, they can consent to relationships. tl;dr, the Harkness Test is a thing. :D
Between Animal Brides Stories as Genre follow by flip Counter part of Beauty and Beast style. Yeah these check out. Like having them as Little Writing practice of Folklore and try make realistic Folklore. Yeah decent bit of Dredge not out of place.
Hera is Zeus' sister AND WIFE!!!!; i have no idea why so many people had a problem with the leaks, tons of people have used real world Mythos to create their own characters or world building. I thought it was cool, mythos has never been pretty. People really shouldn't expect it too.
To be honest, those sound like it could have been real-world myths if we switched Pokemon with Gods or just any mythical creatures. If you know anything about various mythologies, you know it can get really messed up at times. Gore, brutal child murder, sex and even bestiality are not that uncommon.
1: apparently part of this as AI generated and wasn’t true. (That’s what I heard at least, that might be the lie) 2: this was scrapped stuff. It was never intended to be put in the game, an employee could have written this on toilet paper at 3 am in a sleep deprived stupor, doesn’t suddenly make it canon
the original sin theme for the slaking s kind of really odd since the original sin is usually bout cain the first murderer and was cursed to wander for eternity and be despised by all animals and never able to grow plants again. but beyond the whole killing slakings i can't really even compare those two not really ,that one is just weird the rapidash one does strike me as a story i read before though lol can't think off wich one t was but japanese mythology atleast has the story of the hunter and the crane wife animals apearing like humans is pretty common i think kitsune , nekomata , tanuki and now badgers they all really just apear to be grimm style fairytales rather then putting the freak in gamefreak, gotta admit am kinda disapointed people made t sound like t was way more freaky XD maybe reading all these freaky mythology stories just makes me less easily inmpressed
"putting into perspective the idea of Pokemon and human hybrids which is something I never thought Pokemon or Gamefreak would ever talk about or acknowledge in the Pokemon franchise" Not to be that guy, but are we going to completely ignore Ash-Greninja? Seems like a safe beta test to me
The fact these stories didn't make it into the game makes their content moot. Not that it isn't interesting to think about it. The dev deemed the stories unfitting for their creative vision. I know it's simpler if she was sleep impregnated, but the slakoff mom could be miraculously impregnated by arceus magic or something. I think Pokémon are constantly shown in the TV show to have the abilities of a nonverbal human with a communication limits, so I have 100% no problem with human Pokémon couples. Some people care about it because they think the audience's feeling are a factor. Aesthetic concerns are irrelevant in morality. Humans look how we do by sheer coincidence and luck. For all we know, the dominant space empire is 4 legged beings that use body language to communicate social cues, math and writing for engineering concerns. We look like animals to them. Anyway, nothing on earth can compare to Pokémon. They are clearly alien creatures we've never encountered, and our cultural feelings about robots and animals can't compare. They are not animals they way we understand it. The whole underage thing, that is something I don't have much to say about. I mean, we assume humans in Pokémon are like our humans, so their psychological needs and limitations are likely similar to ours on earth. To the extent they are a type of Pokémon, humans still have our limitations. We do need to design professional products for general consumption. Not fanfic/fanart. You can do whatever you want in fanworks as long as you tag and rate content. Professionals with child audiences are the only ones who should censor themselves.
You clearly don't a think about real world folklore if you think this sounds like "horrible fanfiction" because real animals have myths and legends that are FAR worse than this.
IIRC there was an episode of the anime that covered this. Ponyta and Rapidash manes burn anyone they don't trust, but if you build a bond with them you can touch their manes just fine. I may not be remembering it perfectly, but it's more official than these leaks.
These stories are definitely the funniest part of the leak the memes are quite funny unlike the Vaporeon memes those are just obnoxious. Also I don't care if there non cannon it doesn't change the fact that it is weird as fuck! why the hell did they make these in the first place. People have speculated that these stories were made to practice story writing which if that's the case that will explain why the modern Pokémon stories are so bad II think black white the sequels and scarlet and violet were just a fluke.
"why the hell did they make these in the first place." You obviously don't know a thing about real life animals, because real animals have lore that's just as weird as this if not more so. You really need to calm down.

@@Jaceblue04 ???? i wasnt panicking at all? i was just saying that no one said what was leaked and it was confusing, plus, as it says in a lot of the comments, most of the strange language was most likely translation errors
the octillary story when people read it they only focus on the octillary part, I did not hear anything about the ursaring part
In older times, people who lived in groups or smaller villages (the earliest civilizations) often married objects believing Animism. Animism is the early belief that objects had life or soul. If I remember right (im pretty sure) they married thinking it would help the object work better, and how they needed to treat the object right because it had a soul.
Pokémon are not objects, but they may kindov had inspiration?
The ursaring story honestly is badass, outside of the weird beginning.
People do be easy to shock, this is all tame af.
Typhlosion wasn't the only one... there were a lot more pokemon at Ditto's parties doing these GameFreakoffs...
In terms of lore and literall folklore of the games , ofcourse it would have stuff that we also see in other mythology , gamefreak went a bit freaky but yall probly didnt see half the stuff zeus did in the greek mythos , cuz if the public in general knew, no one would bat an eye at this
maybe i need to start my rap career, it worked out for drake
I can't believe that Game _Freaks_ Game just got _Freaky..._ 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
My farts are better than Typhlosion’s farts 💨
I love how this is so new to people, when back in gen one I remember some person in the game mentioning how Pokémon and humans were basically the same and would get married.
Gamefreak can't hide the truth: *there are no laws against the Pokémon*
believe it or not, this can literaly just be falsely translated, which some people claim it is and i do believe them, even then so stupid they fucking cancel culture fictional animals in a monster catching game
*Batman there's no laws against pokemon marriage Batman!*
I feel people claiming it's "just bad transactions" is just cope. These are some pretty gross stories centered around pokemon x human "relations" inspired by equally gross folklore/myths.
@@Gh0styeen at the same time, something such as google translate isn't very accurate, so in the end it can still be wrong
@@zomboids2100 except for the fact what the story claimed to be is the other way around
@@nihilski
You can't stop me from marrying my delphox 👀
I have a feeling this is going to be a very short lived meme. The Vaporeon thing was immortalized from cringe, this is just more or less shocking and a little misleading due to the direct translation.
Ultimately though, enjoy what you want about Pokemon. I see so many people feel horrible for liking Typhlosion now, when this really shouldn't have bearing over that. Whether this was official or fan made, Typhlosion is a cool design that you can toss any personality over and enjoy.
I remember you teasing this video a while ago, posting it on October was a great idea. But damn... who wrote these? too dark, my god...
There’s many different Native American lore’s about humans and animals having relations and humans transforming into animals or half breeds. I think this type of story telling is just apart of human culture.
The refference to morepegasus got me ROF 😂
I feel like Gnoggin explained it best. And I already forgot what he said.
RUclips is great most of the time, it’s just the comments that ruin it often.
My example: look further down or up
Wait until you learn about the origin story of the Minotaur :P
if you dig Greek myth, check out the story of Glaucus and Scylla. it's a lesser known story but it involves the creation of the sea monster, Scylla
In the Japanese version of Diamond Peral and Platinum it says that humans used to marry Pokemon, so it is acknowledged but in a G rated way.
If anyone played and learned the lore deep in the pokedex, pokemon human relationships are not wierd at all.
People can become pokemon. There are plenty of pokedex entries about it. How are we supposed to know that mr. Mime or jinx were not just humans at some point?
Meowscarada kisses you when they're closely connected to you
Salazzle will use pheromones to entice their trainers and create harems
Goodra literally tries to smother you with love and will become depressed if left alone
And there's alot more than that
@@zomboids2100 EXACTLY!!!
Omg yes!!!
Pokemon human relationships in the fictional world of pokemon are completely normalized.
@@TheKillerman3333Exactly, so have fun with it! Make pokebabies!
FINNALY YOU FINNALY MADE A VIDEO ON IT
alternative title: beta reading story bedtime
2:09 Nah there’s been a couple games where some human characters apparently have some Pokemon spouses, BFs, and GFs.
The Lexus LFA looks like Typhlosion.
I like folk lore especially when it can be easily altered
the typhlosion sounds like a tale from kyubi. The Fox Yokai creature from Japanese culture.
Dito moving crazy with this one
Hera is Zeus' sister AND WIFE!!!!; i have no idea why so many people had a problem with the leaks, tons of people have used real world Mythos to create their own characters or world building. I thought it was cool, mythos has never been pretty. People really shouldn't expect it too.
To be honest, those sound like it could have been real-world myths if we switched Pokemon with Gods or just any mythical creatures. If you know anything about various mythologies, you know it can get really messed up at times. Gore, brutal child murder, sex and even bestiality are not that uncommon.
im still not getting rid of my Typhlosion in heartgold. its my best pokemon. i dont care
Watching the chaos happened when this drop was hilarious
That was a mistranslation.
1: apparently part of this as AI generated and wasn’t true. (That’s what I heard at least, that might be the lie)
2: this was scrapped stuff. It was never intended to be put in the game, an employee could have written this on toilet paper at 3 am in a sleep deprived stupor, doesn’t suddenly make it canon
And the Thyplosion used flamethrower and incinerated that iron age hunter and farmer
Nah... You got the moral of the second story wrong. The real moral is:
"Don't fuck an octopus."
1:46 WENDIGOON REFERENCE
the original sin theme for the slaking s kind of really odd since the original sin is usually bout cain the first murderer and was cursed to wander for eternity and be despised by all animals and never able to grow plants again. but beyond the whole killing slakings i can't really even compare those two not really ,that one is just weird
the rapidash one does strike me as a story i read before though lol can't think off wich one t was but japanese mythology atleast has the story of the hunter and the crane wife
animals apearing like humans is pretty common i think kitsune , nekomata , tanuki and now badgers
they all really just apear to be grimm style fairytales rather then putting the freak in gamefreak, gotta admit am kinda disapointed people made t sound like t was way more freaky XD
maybe reading all these freaky mythology stories just makes me less easily inmpressed
free my boy typhlosion
Well Humans once eaten Pokemon for food from what I heard years ago.
❌ Game freak
✅ Freaky Game
I think the Typhlosion was the ghost/dark type from arcus
None of it is canon? Are you sure? Didn't Nintendo DCMA Oversexed Eeveelutions? I dunno sounds pretty canon to me!
"putting into perspective the idea of Pokemon and human hybrids which is something I never thought Pokemon or Gamefreak would ever talk about or acknowledge in the Pokemon franchise"
Not to be that guy, but are we going to completely ignore Ash-Greninja? Seems like a safe beta test to me
0:46 ZEUUUUUUUUS
Cough, Latias and ash lmao
Who was smoking when making some of this stuff !? 😅
There's no law against the Pokemon
These Storys sound Like horrible Fanfictions than Cut Storys from the real Game Freak.
You clearly don't a think about real world folklore if you think this sounds like "horrible fanfiction" because real animals have myths and legends that are FAR worse than this.
Wait
a rapidash mane is actually something you can grab?
I thought it was just fire
IIRC there was an episode of the anime that covered this. Ponyta and Rapidash manes burn anyone they don't trust, but if you build a bond with them you can touch their manes just fine. I may not be remembering it perfectly, but it's more official than these leaks.
Poor Typhlosion
So, this feels like the single least interesting part of the leaks.
"why the hell did they make these in the first place."
You obviously don't know a thing about real life animals, because real animals have lore that's just as weird as this if not more so. You really need to calm down.
@@Jaceblue04 "real life animals" oh yeah this stuff is completely normal for " real life animal" it happens all the time just last week my friend got kidnaped by a bear gas lit into marrying him and then impregnated by him completely normal stuff for "real life animals to do...
@@mysteriousmog51 Ok.
1: Look up the various myths and legends about real world animals; it's no different than this.
2: Do I REALLY need to explain to you that real world animals aren't harmless? Animals kill each other and humans all the time, yet you wanna lose your mind over lore about fictional creatures that was deleted over 20 years ago; it might be time to reassess your priorities.
