this man is 100 years old, and took the drug he created well into his 90's! a well documented FACT. Notice he stands, he does not require oxygen, he speaks coherently! Faring far better than most people who never touched it, but took their antidepressants, and heart medication, and drank alcohol, and smoked cigarettes- all of which are legal. The law is not your friend!

@@ButtSnorkler9000I was not making a connection that because he partook in the substance described that in turn lead to his long life and good health, but rather that taking the drug did not impact his health negatively. It's not really that simple- or is it? Looking at the history of LSD especially in America many people made false claims about it being detrimental to a person's physical and mental health. Dr. Hoffman himself is just one example of that not being the case. Of course there were outlier incidents but overall I do think people can have positive life changing experiences that may lead to a healthier longer life.

The 2 great minds of modern time with their creations that has done wonders for human kind.
One of them.. Destroyed and criminalized by governments, classed as harmful, narcotic.
(No form of leader/leadership, good or bad it doesn't matter - would ever like to have free-thinking people living in their country, thinking outside THE BOX)
The other deserves all the riches and luxuries in the world, but ended up living and dying on the streets. Just to be stolen by some fucking jackass poser with some money, and lured himself into almost every history book.
What a fucked up world we live in, and we're gonna live in.
Thank god for Nikola Tesla, physically powering up everything around me, which mostly comes back as mood-empowering as a bonus!

One of the giants of modern chemistry. His research in alkaloidal chemistry improved the lives of millions, through medicinal pharmaceuticals for geriatric patients, people suffering from heart disease, and has opened the hearts, minds and eyes of those to have had an LSD-25 experience. Not to mention the countless millions he made for Sandoz pharmecutical. Like a boss!

Rob Bielitz What you wrote is not entirely accurate. He discovered LSDs effects by accident. He didn’t intentionally create what he started out to create. Not saying he wasn’t a genius in a unique way but the real giants of modern chemistry are those who made more revolutionary discoveries.

We should be really grateful that the discovery of this molecule fell to such a calm, curious and humble man! He didn't panic or think he had discovered something harmful when he took it by accident. Instead, it touched on something deep within himself, and he carefully stewarded it so that what came out of the experiences wouldn't be classed as 'mad', 'hysteric' or 'poisonous' (as so many people had thought of these drugs until then), but instead be seen for what it was, full of medicinal and healing value. He always kept within the intellect and logic, but he put it in service of the spiritual and the good. If people in the future are able to safely, legally and reliably enjoy it, for their benefit and those of the people around them, it will be in no small measure due to the efforts and attitude of Dr Hoffman.

In this video, you see one of the most important human beings of the last century. I am convinced that silicon valley and therefore the entire information age is based on LSD. What do you think sparked all the creativity in that specific location? Because they had really good coffee? Think about where the whole liberal drug counter culture started, it was right in that area. Giving a powerful tool (the computer) and therefore power to the individual, away from a centralized intelligence, is everything that LSD is teaching us. It itself is a tool for the mind on the path to find truth.

+Elijah Lee When Albert H. was asked that question at the seminar, he replied that it might have been because the raw egg he ate every morning with his morning muesli. He also said that there was no way to find out for sure if it was related to his LSD usage. If he had a twin brother, he said, who lived with identical conditions and if he had not taken LSD, then perhaps it would have been easier to come to such conclusion. He was a scientist with a scientist mind :) not assuming anything. I have observed people who take LSD and I found out that the intentions with which they consume the substances has a lot to do with their experience of it.

@@liquidcrystalvision the 1st time i took lsd was 1970 at a rock concert. I took it for fun, kicks but it turned out to be a different experience. It was a very intense spiritual trip. Ive much respect for it. Im so grateful for psychedelics

He must have had very good genes to look so young. Maybe being so analytical kept his metabolism alive. One of the most brilliant minds of all time for sure, and he must have been assured that he had lived his life to the fullest in every way. RIP

Dr Hoffman you will be missed, your "problem child" was not a "problem" at all...it changed the world, if it hadnt been for LSD the world would be very different! this is why I study the noble science of Chemistry and enjoy it very much, to know that a small lab accident changed the world like that...makes me want to have a lab accident too! ;-)

I can only hope to leave behind a legacy half as great as Hoffman did. And I swear he doesn't look a day over 70!
