Eveybody forget amount of money West Ham want upfront for Rice. It seems WHU want to get 100M in two years, that affects future transfers even for next summer. It's not that 100M would be paid in 4-5years. That might confuse City as well.

Not sure if this had been talked about; not finished the video yet. But, the conversation around budgets was very useful. I think the next conversation might be what goes into a clubs internal valuation of players. The commentary from the public seems to show that we (proverbial) value players more than the club does. I do wonder what frameworks clubs might use, mainly Arsenal, when deciding to go ABOVE valuations.
Interesting in the context of targets that are pinned as raising the ceiling of the team.

Whatever decision Declan Rice makes, we should not hold a grudge against him. A man makes his own decisions. Hope for the best but it’s out of Arsenal’s hands if he decides to change his mind. We can only trust the club has other options as an alternative or if Rice comes in and joins Arsenal.
Now that City are involved & this is some kind of bidding war the dream was good while it lasted, go for Zubimendi instead for half the price & go back in for Caicedo quickly & drop a price Chelsea won’t be comfortable to pay right now (because of there current situation) - £90-95m
