I really enjoyed this video. When I was young, I was brought out to Pacifica, and visited someone who lived in those apartments. I'm from North Central Texas, and had never seen the ocean in that way before. I've only recently found out about this erosion situation, and it's interesting to see a place I've actually stood featured in these videos, even moreso to see the building torn down from that perspective. It's bittersweet, you know? Thanks for producing and posting this.
Thanks for posting this, I let my family know about your great drone videos of 310 Esplanade, trying not to cry and focusing on all the good times and memories. Much appreciation!
Thank you for an interesting and instructional video. The video from the Inspire 2 only shows up at 720 on my screen. However, the picture is significantly better than the Inspire 1 at 1030. Well done!
thank you for your time and effort to make these videos. ( sometimes I think that the main stream media doesn't like the competition). I have found alot of information from U tube.
You are welcome Stay tuned because I have a video that I'm working on of a building going up which started in December and I've daily taken video from the day the project started and will put it all together as a fast build video soon.
I LOVE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS BUT NOT FOR THE REASON OF PEOPLE LOSEING THERE LAND AND HOMES.. THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEIOS SIR. YOU KNOW TO BUILD YOUR HOUSES ON THE SAND. AND BUILDING YOUR HOUSES ON THE ROCKS. THAT WAS A SONG IN SUNDAY SCHOOL WE SANG. THE SHIFTING SANDS OF TIME . TAKE CARE PEOPLE. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!
I have wondered why the owners of the apartment complex waited so long to take the place down. There were appliances abandoned in there and all kinds of fixtures that could have been removed and donated to Habitat For Humanity or another charity. In any fight between the ocean and people, the people eventually lose. This is especially true for an area like this where an earthquake fault, the San Andreas, runs from the land into the ocean. The sand is doubly unstable and the whole place will eventually be gone.
Crazy isn't it? I live near a bar and I see people park across the street just so if the cops go through the parking lot they won't see their car and I see them stumbling to their vehicles often. Now if the cops would crack down on that or all the illegal activity on the Pacifica pier. And not bother with drone flyers who document erosion or the exceptional beauty of this city.
It was sad, taht people lost their homes, but the teardown was necessary it was too dangerous. I hope for the community of Pacifica the situation will not be to worst by the erosion.
I'm in Canton, Ohio. It still saddens me to see that the ocean is making it's way inland, causing these buildings to either fall of the cliff or be demolished. Mother Nature can be mean with the oceans, but then again things that will be will be and little we can do about it.
Nature is gonna win when she wants too all we can do is prevent toxic material getting into the ocean .I live an HR and 45 north of this and our main highway up north is battling the hillside sliding over the Rd into the river it's been my hole life I've seen man be beating by nature.
A day before they knocked down the apartments a drone operator was arrested in this same location for interfering with a rescue. Part of the reason the cop stopped this video short
Yeah you may be right on that, but the cop says to me "A drone operator can't fly within 4 miles of an airport" ...But in fact the recommendation is 5 miles AND the apartments are 6 miles away over the other side of the 750 foot skyline ridge. It was an excuse with an invalid premiss. Also the guy that was arrested was flying at 10:15 at night - pitch black no lights out there. But as for me I was polite and did immediately obey his order. Thank you for watching this video!
i really dont care why the drone was hopping around a little bit i mean duh..that was just about as smart as building in that location....wtf were u people thinking ??.....now all those people across the street have something to think about.....that said i agree 100 percent...all that glass could have been recycled as so could the the appliances ..... i mean ye its in a precarious location and 5 yrs or so bits would have been falling.....but this building could have been stripped down
None of those gwad awful buildings should be there. Never should of built on the bluffs. Take a trip dwn to So Cal Pacific Palisades? The bluffs are open and beautiful......I can only hope the ocean reclaims it all
Yeah I'm sorry bro but I had to do 3 videos in one day and it would have taken hours if I had loaded it in a higher res - my apology, I think you know what I mean. Thank you for watching!
Authoritarian BS! The cop tells him to take it down. Why? Nothing but a egotistical power play. I would love to know what that cop's reasoning was and proceed to usurp his power play. That's exactly why people like me don't get along with cops because of that arrogant attitude that they put on when they put on the uniform. It transforms them into arrogant egotistical morons. You want help from the public? TOUGH!! Go do it yourself!!!!
I'm not sure if it is enjoyment rather than astonishment, It takes so long to build something yet so quickly for a project or any time consuming endeavor to fall apart. Thank you for watching.
@@crabhawk3775 My thoughts exactly! Thank you for sharing your footage! You know, I just wonder if someone called the cops on you for recording on your Drone? Just a thought.

Thank you for watching, currently we are experiencing more storms and erosion - I'm gonna try and get some footage of that soon. stay tuned.
Yes indeed, thank you very much!

Thank you my friend.
I agree with you, this was so very sad to watch, but, interesting.

I agree with you Janis!☺
Thank you, it's hard to find updated videos on this situation.
This is great footage. Very sad, but fascinating.
Very well done. Thanks.

Judging by how easily the roof came off, that building wasn't constructed well. No great loss. Awesome video.

Thank you. I've been sick but will post more videos when I feel better.
@@nicholascollora985 Oh my, yes, please get well as fast as you can, eat some Chicken soup. I hear that Chicken soup gives a sick person strength.
My ex-girlfriend Darcy and I lived in the fourth one from the left on the bottom floor. That was around 1989 Very sad!
How far away was the cliff back then?
Very sad Don!

Insurance issue and environmental issues stood prominently in their decisions, They were also looking for governmental assistance .
Why did the cop tell you to stop recording? You weren't hurting anything or anyone, you had your right to record! 😣😤😠
So sad 😞.. Mother Nature always takes back what she’s allowed you to use.. breaks my heart for all involved
So the police have nothing better to do that fight the vicious crime wave of drones. That time could be better spent I'm sure.

Low hanging fruit is a lot easier to pick...
I agree J. D.!
It took so long to build these apartments and no time at all to tear down, so sad!

Is that black area at the base of the cliff asphalt
No, That is dark sand. No noticeable chunks of asphalt fell to the beach.
Yeah, sure the drone posed more of a threat to life & property then the ocean erosion.... just where is the logic!!! Cop obviously not a drone fan.
My friend had a baby boy I'm 1976 and she lived here. The beaches was 500 feet out. What the hell happened???!

Crab Hawk I also fly too. We should meet up and do some flying. I want to check out that inspire 2 looks awesome
Yeah let's do. I have the New Coastside Bait & Tackle shop in Pacifica, look me up.
But, Crab Hawk wasn't interfering!
This is incredibly sad! People celebrated birthdays and other special occasions here I'm sure.
They must get paid good money to get on that heavy equipment an and vibrate and shimmy around ...... I'd be nervous!!!

Only 720 p?

Man! They should have donated all the glass door and windows to someone or maybe they didn't because of saltwater erosion??
ikr? they could take the windows off before... much easier to recycle the glass, at least.
They could have deep cleaned the glass.
