I think ur tm8s have a point. Now listen in solo q my general rule is, dont pass unless you genuinely have no other option or its the best play. Why? First thing when solo qing trying to organise/set up passes are extremely difficult and prob wont work. Second thing most tm8s arent used to passes meaning u send the ball over and they're not ready whatsoever. Finally if they miss (whether it be the ball or the net) you now have 2 players committed up field with a wide open net and field in front of your opponents. (sorry for the long reply)

Long answer:according to my very thorough research, I have conducted that this mechanic will not take over because, though it is relatively easy to learn and very useful, the rocket league community would much rather spend weeks learning how to flip reset

I only play Freeplay. I grinded some achievements that I knew would lose me mmr (playing x number of games with a specific car, playing x number of games of ones, etc.). I thought no problem, i'll rank back up fast.
Nope. TMs that run into my back when i pass the ball mid, or the other extreme : both TMs are back at our goal.
(And tons of other things not related to passing..)
I've lost count of the number of timesa teammate had seemingly passed the ball to me and I'm perfectly lined up to take a shot only for that same teammate to go for the ball again.

It works, but I didn’t found if that’s better better than regular half-flip cuz it requires lot more space.

As a plat my opinion on this mechanic, is that it’s trash. This will never be a good mechanic. I actually have come up with another mechanic where you actually don’t pass it and keep yourself go for a triple flip rest musty double tap and absolutely miss and give my opponents a free open net and then blame my teammate for not being able to save it. This mechanic will, guaranteed get you to ssl in under two hours
Edit: the last part of that message was false i actually dropped to silver but this is still the most useful mechanic to ever exist😊
