Hi there, when I was printing out our passport application forms, none of us noticed any QR code to the top right corner. We really just handed all of our application forms in person and we did not encounter any problems when we were there. I believe when we handed our application forms in person, I think I saw the passport officer put one of the passport picture there, I really can’t remember but don’t put anything there, just bring all of your documents and they’ll do their thing. @@wanda8492 Np!! We filled out all of our forms electronically but when it came to the signing part, we just signed it by hand including our guarantor. If you were to sign it by hand use a black pen or a dark blue pen.
Sorry I forgot one more thing. I think it’s best if you just sign it by hand if you were applying in person because, when you submit everything to the passport agent, they will then give you a receipt to authorize a person from your family to pick it up if your family was busy with work and they can’t pick it up, but if you are bringing your family with you, you all can just pick it up without signing the “I authorize this person to pick up my passport” and they just have to present their id to the pick up agent and you’re all set. Cause you have to match the signature on your application to the official pick up receipt and you can’t electronically sign the receipt it has to be by hand. But it’s totally up to you at the end!
@Aaron Sioco I hope you see this soon. So eventhough you were applying in person, you still had to bring a copy of your drivers license and your other ID with gaurantor's signature on it? I thought only the original documents would suffice if we are dropping off the application in person
Sorry to get back to you this late, yes you still need a photocopy of your drivers license the front and the back side with your guarantor’s signature on it, at least that is what they asked for when we were applying in person, I say it’s better to come prepared. About the guarantor, does the guarantor need to sign the photocopy of the ID card? How about the photo? Because after taking the photo , the photographer will sign and certify the photo right? Can the photographer become my guarantor?
Hi there, I took my Citizenship test on March 10, 2022 and we were all given a time frame on when we are able to write the Citizenship test online, and it was between February 28, 2022 and March 20, 2022. We all had to write the exam individually and one of my family members actually failed as they scored 14/20 and the passing was 15/20 so I believe the whole Canadian Citizenship Oath Taking took longer because they had to write the Citizenship test all over again and we all had to wait until they got their results. Then we received an email on September 27, 2022 and it was the invitation for the Canadian Citizenship Virtual Oath Taking on October 26, 2022. I hope this helps! Have a great day!

Thank you so much! The passport agent took at least 30-40 minutes to finish all 5 of our applications because we applied for all of our family members. It doesn’t take that long when you’re finally at the counter maybe 5-10 minutes per person? That’s great that you have an appointment cause for us we just walked in and the whole process took 2 hours to finish, so I would assume that everything would be much faster for you. I submitted the application in person today by appointment at a passport center. And it only took about 5 minutes for the agent to key in my info :) can’t wait to get my first Canadian passport! Thanks again for sharing!

Yes you can use one guarantor for your whole family, as long as the guarantor knows your family for at least 2 years. Hope this helps! Have a great day!
