Rodgers has an iron arm, seriously. There's so much strength and power with his throws, and he somehow manages to keep the accuracy he needs in order to put the ball right where it needs to be. But I wonder how much more power he's able to put into his throws because of his throwing motion. It's so unique because it's also so quick. Like he's flicking his wrist and the ball travels 60 yards. That bomb he threw in Detroit? What made that throw so impressive wasn't just the distance it travelled, but the arc the throw had. Makes you wonder how far he could really throw the ball.
I believe a lot of Rodgers ability to throw max distance is in his form and throwing knowledge. Like the guys that do long ball throwing in baseball, he has the ability to maximize his arm. I'm a Bears fan and hated it for years that he was accurate as they come also!

Nah. Joe was another Eli. First of all, having a big arm, does not make you a good QB. If you notice, this list isnt about the longest throws in NFL history as he missed many. It's more about the longest throws from good to great QB's over the last 15-20 years, with some clips from other eras sprinkled in. Joe, like Eli Manning, was a average regular season QB. Not great, not bad, just "good enough". But, Joe was a great post season QB, and somehow, he almost always seemed to be able to turn up his game a few notches when the playoffs came around. He's beaten tom brady twice in the post season, beat peyton manning, etc. This is really no different the Eli beating manning in superbowl, as Joe, playing in the AFC could only beat those two in the divisional game or championship game. Joe nor Eli should be in the Hall of Fame. The HOF is a career award for having great all around careers. Eli and Joe were only great during 2 or 3 repsective playoff runs each. Otherwise, they were never considered top 5 (some might even say top 10) players at their postion.

Believe it or not, the quarterback on my high school team could throw seventy yards and we had a receiver with literal world class speed. As long as the O line did it's job, we won every game. Probably the strongest arm ever in NFL. His problem he could not remember any plays from the play book but could run you over 968 yards rushing in 14 games as a QB. Also could not hit the broad side of a barn.
