Girl, I just want to give you a big hug right now. I told you the other dad that dads can be superheroes, but even Superman had his kryptonite (his weakness). Firstly, just want to say that Kevin is a keeper... not a lot of guys would put up with being held at arms length, love that he wants to be with you and is willing to work with it. I am so glad you see his worth. Secondly, please keep us informed as to how things go, because dad needs to wake the hell up. Maybe he's upset cos of the sneaking, but to forbid you to date someone in the first place is just weird. If he's nervous, then he should meet Kevin, who obviously wasn't out for just a good time since he's still here. He should not be taking away your agency like this. It's one thing to respect house rules since you live there, it's another to have your free time AND the people you choose to spend time with dictated to you. No thanks. I want to share a story about my dad handling a sticky situation, hope this doesn't go on long. When I was 17 I got to know a 32 yo man and he expressed romantic feelings for me. I was so excited, but my father was immediately concerned (now that I'm an adult, I can see why!!!). Honestly, he had EVERY right to shut that down and take it away, but he said he wanted to meet him and get to know him before anything went further, and so he did and this man was so nervous but he came over. Started right in with "I won't touch her until she's 21" and my dad simply asked why he wanted to wait for such a young girl in the first place, and what his plans were for the future, and that's where things started to fall apart. I saw it in a totally different light, and so did this man. Instead of forbidding me when my emotions were at a height, my dad showed me the way. He made it MY decision (even though, let's be honest, had I not come around he would have laid down some rules!). I do hope things work out, stay strong.

I am also one of your older subs (41) and I have a daughter near your age and while I did whatever I wanted and had no prob lying to my parents, I now understand why they were right. You’re very smart to listen to your dad. I think he wanted to see if this guy would stick around and wait for u and since he did, your dad will prob like him. When I was your age I was into drugs and bad guys/gang members, etc so my parents had every reason to worry and I had every reason to lie. This led me to 20 years of crisis after crisis, the legal system and everything that comes with it along with 4 kids, 2 baby dads, domestic violence, etc. the fast life. Now I’m old and calm and into diy nails lol but there’s nothing wrong with SLOWING down and living cautiously. I’m blessed so far that my oldest daughter is very innocent and reserved and I pray none of them ever go through even a fraction of what I did. Listen to your parents always, no one loves u more than they do and they will do anything they can to protect u from pain.
I’m 30… my father had boundaries i didn’t cross but he never told me not to date and that i wasn’t allowed until 21.. if you really feel he’s for you i say set up a date for you three and your father get to know him. The fact your parents have such an age gap is still the h word of him. He should be more understanding. I love he is so worried about you but maybe give the extra push have a lunch date.. maybe he’ll come around.. that can also chase people away… i don’t see anyone in the comments mentioning that.. i had an ex like that but it was his mom doing it.. So my stepdad was the man I tried to please more than anything and when I had to tell him that I was moving in with my boyfriend, husband now, poop hit the fan and hard. Im 30 years old and the best advice I can give you is do what makes you happy, it's lovely to see that your parents care about you and I'm sure they will accept and respect the fact your choosing your happiness and only want to see what's best for you, I hope everything resolves and goes the way you want it to, your an amazing woman and you have so much positivity and amazing outlook on life, you just do whats best for you and your family will support you I'm sure of it! It's one thing to respect house rules since you live there, it's another to have your free time AND the people you choose to spend time with dictated to you. No thanks. I want to share a story about my dad handling a sticky situation, hope this doesn't go on long. When I was 17 I got to know a 32 yo man and he expressed romantic feelings for me. I was so excited, but my father was immediately concerned (now that I'm an adult, I can see why!!!). Honestly, he had EVERY right to shut that down and take it away, but he said he wanted to meet him and get to know him before anything went further, and so he did and this man was so nervous but he came over. Started right in with "I won't touch her until she's 21" and my dad simply asked why he wanted to wait for such a young girl in the first place, and what his plans were for the future, and that's where things started to fall apart. I saw it in a totally different light, and so did this man. Instead of forbidding me when my emotions were at a height, my dad showed me the way. He made it MY decision (even though, let's be honest, had I not come around he would have laid down some rules!). I do hope things work out, stay strong.

I am also one of your older subs (41) and I have a daughter near your age and while I did whatever I wanted and had no prob lying to my parents, I now understand why they were right. You’re very smart to listen to your dad. I think he wanted to see if this guy would stick around and wait for u and since he did, your dad will prob like him. When I was your age I was into drugs and bad guys/gang members, etc so my parents had every reason to worry and I had every reason to lie. This led me to 20 years of crisis after crisis, the legal system and everything that comes with it along with 4 kids, 2 baby dads, domestic violence, etc. the fast life. Now I’m old and calm and into diy nails lol but there’s nothing wrong with SLOWING down and living cautiously. I’m blessed so far that my oldest daughter is very innocent and reserved and I pray none of them ever go through even a fraction of what I did. Listen to your parents always, no one loves u more than they do and they will do anything they can to protect u from pain.

I’m 30… my father had boundaries i didn’t cross but he never told me not to date and that i wasn’t allowed until 21.. if you really feel he’s for you i say set up a date for you three and your father get to know him. The fact your parents have such an age gap is still the h word of him. He should be more understanding. I love he is so worried about you but maybe give the extra push have a lunch date.. maybe he’ll come around.. that can also chase people away… i don’t see anyone in the comments mentioning that.. i had an ex like that but it was his mom doing it.. SUCH A TURN OFF… i ended up leaving the relationship. It’s mentally draining for your partner. It may. Not be said now but eventually it’s get hella old. You have the personality i say try to nip it while you can! Don’t give up if you truly love this man! I hope my message doesn’t offend anyone. I’m just giving my side and my experience.

First off hugs! I just wanna say I understand the love you have for your dad, mine left me when I was just a 5 year old which I did not see him till my wedding day. So my stepdad was the man I tried to please more than anything and when I had to tell him that I was moving in with my boyfriend, husband now, poop hit the fan and hard. However, all is well and I have my sweet baby girl who my stepdad adores more than anything. Prayers all goes well and your birthday was AMAZING! You’re such an amazing person and I LOVE your video.
