Yall tripping. So Grand Puba Maxwell didn't influence hip-hop wearing designer with Timmy Hilfiger? They made a deal with each other. This was before any of em except Slick Rick. Dude was wearing designer suits too back then.
I remember. Doggie, you should too.
Disagree. Big Daddy Kane was dressing fly. Rakim was dressing fly. Nas was dressing fly....all before Biggie

He named 5-6 rappers that dressed dope before big then stated big taught ppl how to dress. Maybe big taught his circle about those things cause he definitely didn’t teach us Detroit niggas
@@kharyvines6971 I’m old enough to know you wasn’t in Detroit in the 80’s nor the 90’s when big was alive.
@@kharyvines6971 so the Jheri curls wasn’t everywhere and not everyone had one I’m sure you didn’t like I didn’t. And that has nothing to do with the point being made
Detroit and Chicago were the blueprint for how player/pimps dressed for decades. Gator stores and clothing stores told the actual story. Players spent money and kept those stores in business. That means there was demand for $500 shoes and boots.
People wore curls, fros, Caesars, finger waves, and a lot of other styles. It wasn't just a curl, lol.
@@kharyvines6971DUMB NI99A, KURTIS BLOW, FULL FORCE, KANGOL KID ALL HAD JHERI CURLS!! I BET EVEN YO MOMMA HAD A CURL!

I never looked to rappers for style unless it was connected to something dapper Dan made those old photos got my attention
The biggest lie ever these NY dudes try to give biggie credit for anything. Big looked bummy till Diddy
Sybil was his stylist and gave the world that look we was used to seeing
No denying. But for me and my experience, being the age 21from Camden nj.a city across the bridge from Philly. I seen and experience the evolution Big brought to both cities. Pac and Big changed the game. If you where in them streets .

THE NINJA EXPERIENCE IS EXPENSIVE!!!
Kane was clean, LL was clean, EPMD was clean, Big was doing bandannas and denim vests before he got Versace'd up. Hip Hop had the fly guys AND the grimey dudes from jump.
so basically all the Credit goes to 2pac !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 no cap
NYC bias hataz
Not true Pac introduce Versace to Hip Hop
Around this time the black clothing labels went out of business...don't complain about fruityness when you celebrate Versace
Pac gave Biggie his look
Y’all listen to too much music.
Pac might be the worst dressed rapper ever. Just because the nigga did a varsace shoot🤦🏿♂️
Facts.Pac was modeling for Versace and Karl Kani.
Man what don’t you mean PAC the freshest I ever seen biggie was in the hypnotize video with the Versace and concord Jordan’s that’s it with the Versace shades but we know them nixxas copied everything pac did
and Haitan jack gave 2pac his look
CAP! Rappers been FRESH!
DUE TO PIMP CULTURE AND HUSTLE CULTURE I DISAGREE ,SALUTE TO DAPER DAN AND KARL KANI
You gotta be from the town to understand whats being said here.....alot of yall was from other places in the house watching T.V.....
New York dudes say anything. Black men been wearing suits slacks and hats for decades. The same dudes wearing Timberlands grew up wearing baggies dressing like Morris Day. Big didn’t start anything. Whodini was fly as hell. New York dude kiss dude ass so much. Dude made some hit records over banging samples but I never knew he took the mantle from Kane as Brooklyn’s best. Dude said he dreamed of Heavy D. 8 Ball was calling himself the Fat Mack since 1991. Biggie never had a video like Tired of Balling.
Biggie???? 😂😂😂😂🧢
Lies... Rappers we're dressing in Dapper and all that before Biggie. Wtf you been?
Copied Heavy D 😂 y'all must've forgot
Biggie definitely didn’t influence me or my homies. In Philly I was influenced by Grand Puba Maxwell and my Father Akeem Shabazz from Front and Lehigh. Biggie wasn’t fly until Puff and whoever started dressing him.
Meaning: Rappers would still dress bummy ifm it wasn't for Detroit City. Where Puff and Biggie got their style from.
🧢
@@DoggieDiamondsTV I can prove everything I’m saying is facts. When Big & Puff was in Detroit with Dream Hampton she told the story and all of us here know it well… They ran into the legendary rap group AWOL and they used to dress in Coogi and Gators and Dobbs. Puff and Big had on Timbs and jeans and they asked who those guys were. Biggie got his first pair of Gators when Eastside Chedda Boys took him downtown and bought him some pink ones. All Facts!!! Everybody remembers the whole New York dissin Biggie for dressin like that at first because he went from Timbs to Gators and Coogis we called them Bill Cosby sweaters. We used to order them straight from Australia. Don’t talk my head!
I know biggie is before his time but i will say as much as i don't like him i will say jim jones set the trend when ed hardy was the 🌊
Funny how these East Coast guys just love to take all of the props away from Pac. Who brought Versace into the game ?
Pac from the East coast tho.
In what videoclip Pac was wearing Versace?
@@uptonogood3306 there is plenty of pictures fam.
