Jubilee clips on hose, water, fuel or boost. For water the oem type is best, just replace them every 5 years/100k as they can relax. For fuel use the crimp hose clamps, same as oem use, no sharp edges and both types of oem hoses clamps allow for expansion and contraction without cutting the hose or becoming loose and leaking.
@phil Cooper. Not sure if you know. I'm Daud from bham , took over Warton St years ago. It's really nice too see what you've progressed too . Still look up to you ! 👌
Swap a AMG 9 speed into it 😂 I’ve been running 1300nm for 3years zero issues with my TCU, the diffs are my problem not the box and we all know AMG diffs are twice as strong as Audis a6 diffs 😂
Rs6 c7 or c6 limiter off the gear box can handle 201 mph+ no problem stock ,carbon fibre propshaft takes 120kg off that's about a full 1.4 second off the 0.60 times
Dunno what's more wild - your figure of the propshaft being 120kg or shaving 1.4 secs off the 0-60. Either way I'd love some of what you must be smoking!
@sarcastixx74 when i was lifting one off a c5 it was something like that or there abouts going carbon fibre propshaft about 30kg I do believe on the new RS3. When you driving with 2 people's and racing comparing them to factory choosen drivers all are lighter also the propshaft spins faster for carbon fibre as for Rs3 1.4 seconds off 0.60 is easy to shave off
Honestly the gearboxes in rs6's are absolute dogshit because they can't take the 2 tons. They're OK on 1.5 ton supercars but not a 2 ton family nutcase. I believe the 6hp is only 600nm so if you can only achive this number you now know why.. You can however upgrade to an 8hp90 for 1000nm BUT it needs a lot of faff to get it to communicate on the canbus system, it fully integrates if programmed correctly. If you need more info just ask... The 6hp can be programmed to the c5 too but again, faff on the canbus.
Gearbox already has mrc software on, the car was a stage2+ car before all the work was done, gearbox we know will be the weakest link, another issue is being the 6hp nothing will touch them in terms of reading, only one tool that I’ve had to order in. 🤦♂️
@Phil-Cooper 600nm is a hardware limit not a software limit. Just because the software allows higher it doesn't mean the hardware was prepared for it. The only way to find out what has been done is to open the gearbox and look. If all of the sensors are working on the gearbox then there's something wrong hardware wise and it's probably a bad thing to run it. Also the gearbox is on canbus2 so if you don't have the official cable for vcds and the audi laptop then you won't get far.. The audi laptop is silly money but worth it if you're a business.
I really don't get using Chinesium Coil Packs in the first place, especially on a build like this? I wouldn't use them on even a high mileage base model A4. Coil packs aren't that expensive. How much $ was saved by going with cheap ass Chinesium coils vs. the time/cost (especially if you're not you're own mechanic) to diagnose and replace them? Another PSA, do NOT buy Bremi coil packs. They are pure trash with a very high failure rate. I wish FCP would stop selling them.
That's so true, I had the TVS stage 2+ TCU software on my last car (B8 S4), that was running 480hp/600nm and it totally transformed the way it drove. At some point I'm gonna get the ZF8 tuned on my C7.5 RS6 as it also has a QS Tuning stage 2 pack on it.
Gearbox build limit hit. 600nm is all that box will do before it slips. It's not an engine issue. It's the gearbox just can't handle the torque. They're restricted at factory to prevent it happening. Upgrade to an 8hp90 is possible but it costs and it's a chore to get it communicating to the original ecu, but doable.
Let's hope that's the final fix 😉 look forward to the next vlog & the Dyno run Phil 👍🏻
Thanks bud
Yesssss. Ive been waiting for an update on this.
Amazing duo!
Waiting in anticipation..... are we having bets on the result?😂 Good luck Thomas and Phil... loving this build🤟
Thanks bud!
A trip to Listers for some braided fuel line is in your future.....
100%
The issue isn't the hose it's the jubilee clips. Jubilee clips will cut through rubber pipes when tightened down.

Yeah, kinda is what it is with tuning, you work with what you have and just recommend
Gear box software flash - detecting nm then restricting engine ecu. Same problem on S4 if stage 2 upgrade
