Great interview! I like it best when the interviewer asks a good question and then just allows him to talk. He might go off on a tangent at times but he always brings it back to answer the questions and he’s always so thoughtful and insightful… when the interviewers cut him off mid thought it drives me bonkers! Loki was never a narcissist and he already cared for other people tf..he cared for Asgardians, Thor, Frigga…craved the love of his father..he literally saved Thor in TDW, saved Asgardians in Ragnarok, and sacrificed himself to save Thor from Thanos
I agree and I really dont understand why this interviewer thinks that way. I absolutely loved Loki's character arc in the infinity saga and in the series they just completely took it away I loved episode 1 and some what episode 2 but the rest were just bad, like the writing was bad. The actors were amazing for what they wanted but it was just not good and the meaning and plot of the show was great and the way Tom describes it, it makes it sound like the best show in the world. I am not excited to see what they do with loki or sylvie but I hope that they change they direction they are going.
What the interviewer said was fine. I think the word narcissist has been misrepresented lately to mean some horrible irredeemable person, just so people can vent about their bad boyfriend or nagging mother. Maybe someone can have narcissist traits and still care about people, at least as much as they are able.

⚠️WARNING: EXTREMELY LONG COMMENT! If you make it till the end thank you so much for your patience! I just wanted to share my love and feelings, for both the actor and the character he plays. For me: I can’t quite explain it but I have TONS of fictional crushes or loves, when it comes to fictional characters. However, Every. Single. Time. I ALWAYS find myself coming back to Tom’s Loki. As my main number 1 fictional love ❤️, there is just something about his character that will always draw me in. I think it has something to do with what Tom has said, about the character himself. In regards to him being able to: play all the notes, on the metaphoric piano. From the first moments I saw him in the first Thor movie, all the way till his last appearance in the MCU movies. (Still hate Thanos for what he did to him), Loki will always be apart of my life. I know this makes me sound like a crazed fan, but I just can’t help it! Loki means so much to me! 🥺😭 more than anyone knows, I’m just glad I have a bestie who understands my deep love for the character. As well, my man who knows how I feel about him, and won’t get jealous over a fictional character. Anyways, enough of me rambling and gushing over Tom’s Loki onto the actual comment itself. Alot of people expected Loki in the show to be as villainous as he was in avengers 1 but that was never the intended direction because Loki was in fact never a villain in the first place.
Loki is such a fun character to watch on screen and then discuss in detail later. He’s very complex yet accessible and relatable. It’s not hard to feel compassion for him because we’ve all felt what he has felt…frustration, jealousy, uncertainty, pain, betrayal. And though some of his actions are deplorable, he is forgivable because we know some of his backstory and can afford him some mercy. I think the burden of his glorious purpose isn’t the purpose, but not knowing what his glorious purpose is. Or thinking that if he has a glorious purpose it somehow makes him better than everyone else. Deep down he doesn’t know who he is…is he good or bad? Is he a hero or a monster? On one hand he tries to take control of his situation while on the other hand he seems to play the victim card to an uncontrollable fate. He’s a walking contradiction and it makes for a fun ride for us, the audience. Can’t wait for the next season of Loki!

He’s only four years older than me (my older brothers age)! I never knew who Loki was in The Mask because I was young so these movie helped introduce me to him.

It's true that Loki and Sylvie had different experiences. Loki sees his own future, makes friends with Mobius, and meets all the other Lokis. Sylvie doesn't get to have those experiences, so she's really had no reason to rethink things. That's why people are very wrong when they say Loki became a "sidekick." Every episode revolves around his journey and arc.
Tom Hiddleston and I could have quite the conversation. He likes to talk about Loki. I like to talk about Loki. I would get an A in Loki school!!! What makes Loki a loki? His curiosity. He asks the right questions. I love the friendship between Mobius and Loki. I have noticed on rewatches that Mobius is the only one in the TVA that says his name. Everyone else calls him a variant.
